"Risk from swine flu vaccine 'greater than catching virus"
The Infowarrior
by The Infowarrior  10-2-2009    2
Showing World Health Organisation (WHO) graphs about the rise and fall of the H1NI virus around the world, he told his audience that staying informed was the most important thing anyone could do regarding potentially risky infectious diseases. He suggested there may be a lot of under-reporting of the H1N1 virus now in cases where the symptoms are relatively mild. “It seems that a lot more people have had the virus undetected than the WHO thinks and if this is the case, we won’t see a second wave of the H1N1 virus because so many people will have developed the antibodies against it.” He also questioned the potential effectiveness of a vaccine based on the current strain of the H1N1 virus if a more virulent form of the virus develops. “The real risk is if the virus is transferred back to pigs and from them back to humans again. The current strain has probably been circulating in pigs for 10-17 years, according to a paper in Nature Biotechnology,” said Dr Verkerk.

Evidence that the "swine flu" vaccine is toxic, especially the adjuvant squalene
The Infowarrior
by The Infowarrior  9-30-2009
Dr Mercola explains: "Gulf War veterans with Gulf War Syndrome received anthrax vaccines which contained squalene. MF59 (the Novartis squalene adjuvant) was an unapproved ingredient in experimental anthrax vaccines and has since been linked to the devastating autoimmune diseases suffered by countless Gulf War vets. The Department of Defense made every attempt to deny that squalene was indeed an added contaminant in the anthrax vaccine administered to Persian Gulf war military personnel – deployed and non-deployed – as well as participants in the more recent Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program (AVIP). However, the FDA discovered the presence of squalene in certain lots of AVIP product. A test was developed to detect anti-squalene antibodies in GWS patients, and a clear link was established between the contaminated product and all the GWS sufferers who had been injected with the vaccine containing squalene. WHO on additives to Flu Vaccine
billpar
by billpar  9-23-2009
Are squalene-containing vaccines safe? * Over 22 million doses of squalene-containing flu vaccine have been administered. The absence of significant vaccine-related adverse events following this number of doses suggests that squalene in vaccines has no significant risk. This vaccine has been given primarily to older age groups. * As this vaccine and new squalene-containing vaccines are introduced in other age groups, post-marketing follow-up to detect any vaccine-related adverse events will need to be performed.

Why Millions of Americans Don't Need a Swine Flu Vaccine
The Infowarrior
by The Infowarrior  9-16-2009    6
"That's because many of those who were infected by swine flu never had any idea they were infected at all. They were so-called "symptomless carriers," because they never experienced a sniffle or other flu-like symptoms. Their immune systems conquered swine flu automatically and effectively, creating antibodies and overcoming the infection by relying on fundamental human physiology. Even for those who got sick, virtually everyone survived the sickness. After a few days of extra rest in bed (and hopefully some nutritional supplementation), they were able to kick the virus and return to normal life. This is all a normal part of beating any flu. All these millions of people who were infected by H1N1 and didn't die have naturally made their own swine flu antibodies. They are now immune to the swine flu, and they now have zero risk of being infected or killed by this H1N1 swine flu in the future."

Are Earlobe Creases a Sign of Heart Disease?
thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  9-16-2009    1
Why a connection between ELC and heart disease? Nobody knows. We continue with our checklist of heart disease signs: Retinopathy. Ring finger length. - A short ring finger in males = lower level of testosterone = higher risk of heart attack early in life. Male pattern baldness - men with frontal baldness were about 9 percent more likely to have heart disease. Those with baldness at the crown (top) of their heads were 23 to 36 percent more likely. Bad breath - Some studies claim people with lots of antibodies due to bum gums have a 50 to 100 percent greater chance of heart disease. Acne - men who had acne as teenagers had a 30 percent lower chance. Green snot - there's a connection between heart disease and green snot. Earwax - Dry earwaxers had a greater risk of arteriosclerosis than wet earwaxers. (Unconfirmed, but if you're going to worry about snot and bad breath, you might as well worry about earwax, too. )

Antibodies found that prevent HIV from causing severe AIDS
BobbyRutan
by BobbyRutan  9-4-2009
More: The antibodies were able to block the activity of about three-quarters of the 162 separate strains of HIV they tested it against. Immunologist Dennis Burton of Scripps and his colleagues then showed that the antibodies bind to regions of two proteins on the surface of the virus, called gp120 and gp41, that help the virus invade cells. These regions had never before been considered as targets for vaccines. Researchers still have a long way to go to produce a vaccine, however. The antibodies themselves could potentially be used as a treatment for infected patients who develop severe disease. But the long-term hope is to find molecules, either synthetic or natural, that can stimulate the body to produce the broadly neutralizing antibodies. Such molecules could potentially be the basis for a successful vaccine.

Herpes Infection Lab Testing

Most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the mouth, lips, tongue, genitals or rectum. These blisters can be quite painful. The first outbreak usually occurs within two weeks after the virus is transmitted. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take up to two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur.

Japanese Raccons found with Bird Flu
nedhamson1
by nedhamson1  4-10-2009
What this shows is that the h5n1 virus is present in many different species. It breaks out in a form that is deadly to both animals and people when the host animal is gathered together in large numbers. When chickens, ducks, or geese are factory farmed (thousands raised at same time and housed for egg laying or held for delivery to live markets), the natural system "thinks" the species's population is too large and is exhibitig stress that calls for a "system" response to bring the flock back into balance. The system response to re-create balance is influenza which kills weaker or stressed birds and reestablishes balance. Repeated human intervention causes greater system responses until it may reach pandemic levels.
