whatreallyhappened.com: CLIMATEGATE: A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY
Lotus_01
by Lotus_01  Today 4:37 PM
"The recent exposures of fraud coming from the Hadley Climate Research Unit, then followed by similar exposures at New Zealand's NWIA, Australia's climate center, and NOAA have only confirmed the doubts arising from the obviously NON-scientific methods employed by the Anthropogenic Global Warming supporters, hereinafter called the "Global Warming Cult". I call them a cult because of the abandonment of scientific method by many of the acolytes, together with a recent British Court decision that declared belief in Global Warming was accorded the status of a religion.  This looks so alien, and distant, yet it is right here on Earth. The text says it is the effect comes from ice crystals, and it does look icy cold. I wonder how far the photographer actually had to climb to get this shot.

The Kebra Nagast: The Glory of the Kings
Steve Savage
by Steve Savage  2-5-2010
I served with the Army Security Agency in Asmara, Eritrea, Ethiopia, from July 1955 to June 1958. When Haile Selassie visited our installation, Kagnew Station, I served as his personal Honor Guard. When I first viewed these photos, I was struck by the unbelievable hypnotic aura of power and presence radiated by these two Father-Son, Warrior-Priest, Philosopher Kings, whose royal lineage, the world's oldest, can trace its existence to the ancient emperors of Ethiopia, especially Menelek, son of The Queen of Sheba by Solomon.

The Worst US Candidate Ever!?
citizenbfk
by citizenbfk  2-5-2010
Threatening a prostitute with a knife, drug use, adultery, etc. (see clip, there's more) would normally indicate a life going down the tubes, but Scott Cohen has these arrests and accusations as part of his stepping stones to elected office. Most of our criminal or hypocritical politicians are more subtle or better at covering up their past. But Cohen has money: millions. And the opposition was divided. Of course in other places or ancient times you'd rise to power on mass murder and scams. At least our politicians are not that bad: Until they get in office.

Ancient tribal language becomes extinct as last speaker dies
zizzy
by zizzy  2-4-2010
"The Great Andamanese were first massacred, then all but wiped out by paternalistic policies which left them ravaged by epidemics of disease, and robbed of their land and independence," said Survival International's director, Stephen Corry. "With the death of Boa Sr and the extinction of the Bo language, a unique part of human society is now just a memory. Boa's loss is a bleak reminder that we must not allow this to happen to the other tribes of the Andaman Islands." - more @ clip source

Spray-on miracle could revolutionise manufacturing
cakebelly
by cakebelly  2-3-2010
more (at source): The secret of liquid glass is that it forms an ultra-thin film between 15 and 30 molecules thick – about 500 times thinner than human hair. On this nanoscale – a few millionths of a millimetre thick – liquid glass turns into a highly flexible invisible barrier that repels water, dirt and bacteria, yet is resistant to heat, acids and UV radiation but remains "breathable". A family-owned German company called Nanopool holds patent rights on the technology behind the liquid glass, which emerged from research at the Institute for New Materials in Saarbrücken. Nanopool is already talking to British firms and the NHS about using the product for a diverse range of applications, from coating designer handbags to spraying the nose cones of high-speed trains. Got to source to read more proposed uses of the substance

DAKOTA JIM, "Warden of the Great Wolf Spirit"
Steve Savage
by Steve Savage  2-2-2010
There is no Birth Record of my Father, DAKOTA JIM. At the age of one year, in 1912, He was abducted from His Father by His Mother. He was then abandoned by her in Hill City, South Dakota, in the Heart of the Black Hills (Paha Sapa); the Mystical Badlands of the Great Oglala Lakota Sioux Indian Nation. Although He was of Welsh- English descent, it was here, in the sacred tribal lands of the Black Hills, that He was initiated in the Ancient Ways of the great Lakota Sioux Warriors. He had a Fierce Countenance, a powerful arresting stare, that caused whomever it was that fell into his gaze, to cringe in submission like a dog before an Alpha Wolf. No one ever dared to challenge Him or disrespect Him in any way. He was a Dangerous Man; a Living Cage of Flesh and Bone whose Prisoner was a barely restrained Ferocious Beast, the Spirit of the Great Wolf. He was the Strongest, most Intelligent, Moral, Principled Man of anyone I've ever known. He was the Unwritten Law.
