POPSRinging in Sunday booze sales When I ran my one campaign for public office in 2000, I ran on the Libertarian Party ticket for Indiana House District 100 on a platform of repealing the Sunday Blue Laws regulating the sale of alcohol and vehicles on Sunday. 8 years later a group has formed to lobby for this much needed change in our laws in Indiana.

POPS"Tropic Thunder" Comedy Mocks Hollywood And Movie-Makers
To save the movie, director Damien Cockburn (Steve Coogan) decides to shoot it documentary-style, with his actors improvising in the jungle. But that idea also goes awry, and the gun-toting actors find themselves up against a drug lord and his minions' real guns. The premise is amusing, though the actual plotting doesn't always make sense, especially when the actors have to face the real-life villains. And as it goes along, the pleasure is not so much from character development as a series of set pieces, such as African-American Chino's view of Lazarus' vision of an African-American, or Grossman's attempts at crisis management. Indeed, Cruise may be the funniest thing in the movie, although he gets competition, notably from Downey and from Jay Baruchel as Kevin Sandusky, the non-star in the acting ensemble. And movie buffs will have fun picking up on the allusions to other films, especially Apocalypse Now. http://www.tropicthunder.com/home.html

POPSAnagram Genius I tested my name and its' anagram was "A smug anarchism" so I decided to anagram that and got 'Amusing as charm.' ' Barrack Obama' anagrams to 'Amok crab Arab.' Ron Paul to "Our Plan". And 'John McCain' anagrams to 'Chic 'n' on jam.' Take it for what you will! lol.

POPSYou Must Remember This Easy read, quite amusing, a somewhat sardonic slant on current obsessions for neuroporn and the current cutting edge of the self-improvement industries. Mind you, I may have made up that reading rather than remembered it.

POPSRemember this About where the moneys going, More of sending the few into Multiple Tours and Stoploss! More of Not Taking Care of those sent when They Return! As long as most of them don't have to Sacrifice and can continue to call themselves a Party of Moral Americans! I never heard an APOLOGY to the few who Serve and are Awarded Purple Hearts, America's Highest Honor, for Dying and being Maimed in America's Wars, Wars mostly of Choice not Need!

POPSRotSchwarzGold - Germany's Flag Reinvented In a news story on Saturday reporting on the upcoming semifinal match between Turkey and Germany, the German ARD (Channel 1) news used a wrong image of the German flag, swapping the colours red and black. Apparently the mistake occurred because the editor was distracted by watching the football while creating the background image. My take on it: (a) unlikely story (b) far from offensive, I find it amusing (c) good thing it wasn't any other flag that the Germans misrepresented - that could've had some more crucial repercussions.

POPSMcFlip-Flop Why does the mainstream corporate media give McCain a free ride with regard to his changing his position on just about everything, as long as it suits him?

POPSAs Seen at the Republican Party State Convention in Texas. The passionate defenses of free speech are amusing, inasmuch as nobody needs protection for speech that is unlikely to offend. On the other hand, the defense itself is kinda like pleading the Fifth. Or in other words, people using the first amendment defense should just admit they are racists and stop trying to pretend otherwise. Ethics aside, it's just so much less embarrassing for everyone involved.
