POPSIf An Oil Man is Saying It... It has to make you think just how out of touch our government is with reality, when a "big oil" tycoon is telling Congress we need to invest more in alternative energy to ween ourselves off of foreign oil. Maybe Bush will listen to one of his own. Or maybe that's putting too much of an assumption on Bush being intelligent, which is a BIG assumption.

POPSThe market for plug-in cars is fast approaching Very exciting stuff. This is no longer the talk of what's ifs and hypotheticals...it's reality and it's coming soon. In my opinion, the introduction of plug-in cars will be a major catalyst for the development of additional sources of energy - including more wind and solar generated. It will also be the tipping point for allocating the massive resources needed to upgrade our nation's power grid.

POPSWeb pioneer Gross revitalized by green energy Bill Gross is the Ron Popeil of Internet entrepreneurs...or perhaps the failed car man and innovator Preston Tucker ;) I am excited to see what he will do with his alt energy incubator. Maybe he will once again innovate enough to help shape the green economy. But, with regard to his claim of becoming more disciplined than he was in the 90's...I'll take the under. Good luck Bill, i'm pulling for you!

POPSWhite House schizophrenia over global warming Very interesting clip that highlights to tension within the Bush administration. There seems to be a strong division between those who see reality and those who see whatever the oil companies want them to see. Let's pray that our next president will err on the side of humanity.

POPSInventor of Water Powered Dune Buggy Murdered He was poisoned March 1998..He died in the parking lot of a restaurant in his home town of Grove City, Ohio. Sharks came a week later and stole the the dune buggy and all of his experimental equipment.. He had patents on his invention and was ready for production. Only $1,500 to equip your car! See the Videos above. No gasoline, just water. Stanley said he was offered a billion dollars from an Arab to basically shelf his idea. So what is happening with Stan's Great Invention of the 20th Century!! Absolutely nothing. Are they manufacturing his invention. NO, Why not? because it would solve all the world's problems today. All they talk about is hydrogen gas stations run by Shell and a Canadian Oil Firm. Then they talk all about "hydrogen fuel cells" which take a lifetime of gas burned just to make one fuel cell. A hydrogen fuel cell factory is a real SMOG factory..-- EXCERPTS FROM THE WEB PAGE

POPSECO Housing.. We, the People have the alternatives So we should get rid of all those, that stand in the way of building a better future. By electing those with the ideas that promote, explore and use the alternatives already at hand and support investments into the alternative energy and home land protection as we need it. We need to protect our home land and preserve a balance in all. Harmony is the goal on all levels of life. Balance and harmony. All else will follow.

POPSPelosi rants. Announcing the Democrats' bold new "plan" on energy last week, Pelosi said breaking into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve "is one alternative." That's not an energy plan. It's using what we already have -- much like "conservation," which is also part of the Democrats' plan. Conservation, efficiency and using oil we hold in reserve for emergencies does not get us more energy. It's as if we were running out of food and the Democrats were telling us: "Just eat a little less every day." Great! We'll die a little more slowly. That's not what we call a "plan." We need more energy, not a plan for a slower death.

POPSYet Another Reason for Alternative Energy It amazes me when Bush talks about how committed he is to national security - with middle east countries being the biggest targets - but does nothing to reduce our reliance on oil. Bush continues to rely on countries he considers part of his "axis of evil" when he does nothing to further research into alternative domestic energy sources. His answer - let's try to drill for more oil here while maintaining a military presence in the middle east that's costing this country billions and ultimately trillions of dollars. No dumb ass, if you invested even a tiny portion of what you've spent on "securing" Iraq, on a domestic alternative energy policy, we wouldn't be in the economic trouble we're in today.
