In 1942, Congress passed the first resolution to endorse flag etiquette, including the proper way to fold, display and dispose of the flag. Massachusetts entered the debate in 1970, when Leominister teenager Valerie Goguen was sentenced to six months in jail for using an American flag patch on a pair of jeans. The Supreme Court overturned his conviction in the 1974 case Smith v. Goguen. Goguen still lives in Leominster, and is still adamant that the case is about love for the flag.

POPSConstitution? Treaties? Sovereignty? The lamenting over the obstacle that is the Constitution goes on with Liberals and World-Order phony Conservatives (read: today's Republicans) alike. Puppet cable news pundits want to imprint an image of Independents as moderates - in the "middle" of either "fringe". It depends, doesn't it? Higher elites of both persuasions strive to find a way to topple the Constitution, maybe to slightly varying goals, while the Independents really want to maintain sovereignty and the Constitution. Doesn't that put Ind.'s on the Right, with Rep.'s & Dem.'s on the Left? Criticisms against Obama policies are met by Bush criticisms. Enough. That's the wrong paradigm. Isn't it ? Aren't they both the puppets for those of NO county? Of NO allegiance but to a World Gov.? Or am I all wet, here?

Thus, will Mullah Mohammad Omar agree to a condition which he refused when he used to rule and when the United States was at the top of its might, and accept it now while he is on the threshold of a victory over his enemies?” Sa'id’s calculation is plain. Mullah Omar would not agree to turn over bin Laden when he was faced with the prospect of imminent annihilation.

From someone who writes flat, two-dimensional woman characters in all of his work? Even under the best of circumstances, I would be skeptical of a black man tackling a project like this. To bring Shange's vision to light would take an understanding of why this work of art is so deeply intertwined with black women's articulation of their own struggles under racist, patriarchal oppression — something that unfortunately, many still deny to this day. Black women's voices are often lost in discussions of race (because all the blacks are men) and discussions of gender (because all women are white) and Ntozake Shange was beyond brave to put down all of these ideas and present them for public consumption even in the face of heavy criticism from black men when the play was released.[

POPSHamas and al Qaeda-Linked Group Clash in Gaza By Bill Roggio Hamas fighters attacked Moussa's mosque in Rafah as well as at other Jund Ansar Allah strongholds shortly after his announcement. The fighting took its toll on the military leadership of both groups. Abu Jibril Shimali, the commander of Hamas' Izzadin al Qassam Brigades, and Abu Abdullah al Suri, the military emir of Jund Ansar Allah are said to have been killed, although the reports have not been confirmed. Moussa was killed during an explosion at a compound he and others sought refuge in was attacked by Hamas. A Jund Ansar Allah suicide bomber is said to have detonated in the middle of a Hamas military unit. Al Qaeda leaders, including Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri, have been critical of Hamas for accommodating Israel and the west and for improperly waging jihad, or holy war. Hamas has accused al Qaeda of attempting to graft the Palestinian struggle onto the global jihad and has criticized al Qaeda's attacks worldwide.
