POPSWe were EVERYWHERE in DC......WE jammed the streets and the mall. "This event had been promoted as a taxpayer “tea party,” but the crowd’s concerns were wide ranging, from outrage at ACORN and Obama’s socialist cadre known as Czars, to Obama’s untruthfulness. Protesters also displayed signs mocking Nancy Pelosi and others for smearing the grassroots movement as “astroturfers” and as an angry mob. photos above show a tiny fraction of the two million ABC estimates attended. At the time this photo was taken, around 1:00 pm., Pennsylvania Avenue was still jammed completely, and the mall was packed from the Capitol Building past the Washington Monument. See aerial photos here. Protesters came from every state in the union. This man came from San Antonio, TX. I spoke with others from California to Maine, Florida to Alaska."

POPSVoice Memories Part of National September 11 Memorial & Museum Inside they'll see the last column that was removed from the site and is now back in place, covered in graffiti and photos of the missing, along with the slurry wall, part of the original structure that survived the collapse. But it will be the images of the attacks - and the stories of the dead, their families and loved ones that will move visitors most. Visitors will be warned about graphic images - people jumping, human remains, planes piercing the towers - and will have a choice of whether to view them. http://makehistory.national911memorial.org/ BY Kerry Wills Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2009/09/11/2009-09-11_your_voice_can_be_part_of_new_museum.html#ixzz0QnnNaIPN

POPSThe View from Above "Many of us know what it’s like to observe our world from very high in a jet airliner. If you get the chance to fly in a small aircraft, you’ll be amazed at the detail you don’t see when taking a commercial flight. If you can’t easily do that, wander through the photostream of Aerial Photography." - http://www.flickr.com/photos/leidorf/

POPSUSAF Thunderbirds read for air-show duty Even before I had a sense of politics, the precision of air formations thrilled me. Just some neat photos. Yesterday we had the death of one of the original 'top guns' who went on to serve as a very distinguished member of our State's government. I wonder if the caliber of those men are long gone.

POPScycling piccies cycling is too dangerous where I live that is why I am campaigning for 20mph zones. You'll need to centralise the slider as the pictures are slightly too big for the frame

POPSMap of Stalags (Nazi prison camps) of Europe Highlights the locations of the camps (Stalags) mainly in Germany. Some conditions were worse than others depending on overcrowding, the level of escapes tried, even the zeal of the commandant and the guards.
