POPSKeep the marketing out... A professional organization I belong to had an impromtu meetup in Lively. Yes, unexpected guests arrived and my cartoon was kissed without permission. My cartoon was also invited to watch streaming web content of a "too polite to repeat here" subject. I had participated in the meetup with high hopes that Lively might be the place to hang out with professionals in a virtually social setting. Guess What? I like hanging out in virtual worlds because it is an escape from the barrage of marketing at me. I have to endure advertising and marketing messages on the radio, on TV, cable, satelite...the Internet is one huge bombardment of marketing messages. I want virtual worlds to be a respite from marketing. I want a place to have a 3d representation of myself where I can collaborate with others. My advice: KEEP YOUR MARKETING OUT OF VIRTUAL WORLDS.

POPSThe Egg and I The book is based on the author's experiences in trying to operate a small chicken farm with her first husband Robert Heskett from 1927 to 1931 near Chimacum, Washington. On visits with her family in Seattle, she told stories of their tribulations, which greatly amused them. In the 1940s, MacDonald's sisters strongly encouraged her to write a book about these experiences and, following their advice, she wrote The Egg and I as her first book.

POPSSlick-A** Pet Food Labeling They do the same thing with human food. I love K. Trudeau's "Natural Cures..." advice -- If it comes from a publicly traded company, don't buy it. (Of course that almost precludes shopping in grocery stores)

POPSCatch and release This is truly messed up. I particularly like the quip about the wallet card. Would our barnyard pals have an eelskin wallet to put it in?

POPSZygor Guides World of Warcraft Power Leveling
This blog which i have clipped here has a short but to the point post. It outlines how you can make huge strides with your leveling in world of warcraft and also supplies some great links to different resources and reveiws of Zygors Guide. There are videos that are made availabel of the actual guide in use which is a great help to those considering using Zyor Guides. These vids show the the guide being utilised not only with an Alliance character, but also with the Horde. This is just a thought here, on my server the horde always pound the alliance,l lol and when you look for a guide for WOW, the marketers seem to target horde players! Does this mean that more horde players utilise guides such as Zygor Guides more than the Alliance and does this account for the horde's better game play. One thing is definite, these guides are used more by the Horde than the Alliance and i actually do think that it is down to those guys using such guides as Zygors 1 to 70 Alliance and Horde Guide.

POPSLegal right to defend oneself? This headline concerns me. We have always had the right to use reasonable force in certain circumstances. The problem, as I see it, is poor legal advice. When the Everton centre forward Duncan Ferguson was acquitted not once, but twice, for defending his property and family, it was good advocacy that kept his out of prison even though he has a record and past prison life for assault. What is good for Ferguson should be good for every individual defending himself and others against attack. Poor advocacy is a problem, not just in the UK but everywhere in this commercial world, where the poor get inferior service to those with full wallets.
