POPSGiveaway of the day. Free software! “We decided to participate in Giveaway of the Day because of the excellent opportunity to promote a product and collect lots of users’ feedback. Actually, in just one day, we’ve heard more opinions about our software than we typically hear from our own website visitors in two weeks! Being happy with GOTD team service and our promo statistics, we decided to get back there soon with our new products”

POPSProBlogger helps you build a better blog Bryan Person's Social Media Top 10 post drove me to this blog that's about how to get the most out of blogging and how to earn a living off of it. I find the ProBlogger creator, Darren Rowse, to be very intriguing and he does a great job at aggregating everyone's thoughts and experiences on how to blog more strategically. Thanks Bryan, Darren and ProBlogger contributors I am finding the ProBlogger blog to be not only helpful but also inspiring. This is a post-to-blog clip for: clipping the social web, http://www.clipper.typepad.com

POPSNielsen scraps Page Views as rankings metric Metrics are never one-size fits-all. For sites who caters to getting people off of the site quickly, return visits are most important. Neither page views nor time spent in a session are always the best way to gauge performance.

POPSSome Really Sobering Publisher AdSense Stats I don't remember how long it took me to make $5 from Google adsense. I know it took me almost a year to finally get my first $100. My earnings have speeded up since then, but it's still not enough to make a living at blogging. I can't tell you how much I earn off of Google Adsense per the rules. I can tell you, however, that it's easier to make money through clicks than page impressions. I don't have the traffic volume for page impressions to matter. I think there are some bloggers who don't have ads in order to be considerate of their users. Others are all about monetizing. I'm kind of in between. I like blogging, but I can't afford to lose money at it. Where do you stand? Is advertising a big part of your blogging?
