POPSScience confirms it: driving a Porsche really does make you more of a man A creative and elegant study has found that for men, driving a Porsche (and presumably other high-end, powerful vehicles) increases your testosterone levels, even -- and here's the kicker -- if no one ever sees you drive it. That means it's hard-wired, not just a "social construct." (That's what this author says, anyhow, though it's not obvious to me that that's the only explanation.) The post then goes on to say, interestingly, that this is going to be a big problem for auto designers of the future who want to be environmentally responsible, because, presumably, environmentally responsible cars aren't sexy. They'll have to "figure out how to make hybrid and electric cars cool." As in, like, raise-your-testosterone-level cool. My question is, why? Is the post implying that if electric cars don't get sexier, then we'll just continue to destroy the environment? Are those really the only two options?

POPSThe Decade From HELL
Mark Morford’s New Year's column speaks for many of us. I would even say it speaks for ¾’s of us... but too many, don’t vote. That’s why we had to endure the Reagan Years, Daddy Bush Years and Dubya’s years of HELL. I believe most Americans are Liberal and if they voted America would be in a different position, one of tolerance and peace. If all Liberals voted, incomes would be categorized as LIVING WAGES. Our health care system wouldn’t be gouging, excluding and bankrupting us while those in charge of who gets what, when it come to medical care, get richer. Reckless wars would not happen. 911 wouldn’t have occurred. There’d be no executions because Capital Punishment would be null. No homelessness, no hunger, and best of all no Beck or Limbaugh because their agenda of hate would not be tolerated. But alas, that America does not prevail. Let’s hope the next decade will bring the kind of world, we long for, we who EMPATHIZE and THINK. It can happen, IF YOU WOULD ONLY VOTE!

There is no "hate crime" law for this, and depicts a similar scenario to one proposed in a Clipmark here , in its horrific reality. She will get life, while the "friend" she hated, got death. "Crimes of passion" are born of those who are not gratified in trying to obtain their selfish pleasures (like the men of Sodom who were storming Mayor Lot's House to "make sport" w/ two visitors, to take them by force). Passion is not "love", it is self-love, for personal gratification, and holds the targeted "romance" object as personal property, which they claim possession of mentally (giving birth to unjust jealousy) , and therefore usurp to themselves a claim to use force to obtain or revenge. Sometimes in crime, other times something less. Note too the murderer was portrayed as a victim for "coming out as a lesbian". Astonishing.
