POPSMatt Damon in 'Green Zone', Movie With Message About Iraq War "Bourne Goes to Iraq" or Loyal Army officer finds out truth and the real enemy which changes his mission against the "powers that be". Note in the clipmark from Wiki the producer intends this to be not merely entertainment but relevant commentary: "Film shouldn't be disenfranchised from the national conversation. It is never too soon for cinema to engage with events that shape our lives. Perhaps this is like Clooney and Damon in Syriana in that respect. Allegedly based upon this book here. , which has some real interesting "reviews" worth considering.

POPS10 most historically inaccurate movies more: Braveheart, 1995 Not only was the Scottish hero William Wallace gruesomely executed in 1305, having been captured by the English at Falkirk, but seven centuries later his memory was exhumed, smeared with blue face paint and mutilated by Mel Gibson. Wallace was not the poor villager the film depicts, but a landowner and minor knight. The litany of fibs extends from Wallace’s love interest (Queen Isabella would have been about two-years-old at the time) to his kilt – a garment not developed for another three centuries. The historian Sharon L. Krossa likens it to “a film about Colonial America showing the colonial men wearing 20th century business suits.”

POPSThe Best Way to Control the Masses Remember FDR’s words: “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” When the Shadow Powers determine the choices available to us they control us. Sure it’s subtle. You bet it’s effective. And we all think we’re free.

POPSTOP 20 WORST CASTING DECISIONS EVER Part I (#20 - #11) Not much to argue with the list maker in Part I. Vaughn ALMOST pulls off Bates but no one will ever be Perkins and that was sheer movie magic and acting perfection. "We all go a little crazy... sometimes." Still sends chills up my spine!
