Ya think??? No wonder Iran has gotten so far if Obama's "advisors" are finally coming to this conclusion. Of course, we know that this is not news to them and that's the scary part. Washington really, really thinks we are stupid. :~( So now. What are you going to do about it? Hmmmm??

A tribute to Original Kasper's - history, in hot dogs
Lexica
by Lexica  12-31-2009
More (emphasis mine): Hosted by the Site Memory Collective…from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, “Kasper’s Stories” is a part of the group’s commitment to “exploring the changing urban landscape as seen through individual and community memories of public spaces.” In the case of Kasper’s, it’s a study of one place’s impact on its residents–both when it’s there and after it disappears. “You don’t analyze how important something like this is until it’s gone,” said Kim Campisano, one of the organizers. “And you don’t realize how important it is to have that everyday connection with the same place and people in what is a vastly changing world.” …Yaglijian, smiling and mingling for two hours, said he wanted to reopen the place . “It’s time,” he said, confident that he can get the money. “I’ve kept saying that without giving the exact year for the last few years. But this time it’ll be ready again by the end of this year or early next .” YES PLEASE

The Emperor's New Clothes?
Socratoad
by Socratoad  12-31-2009    1
It was a branch of the French intelligence services that finally helped convince the U.S. government in 2004 that the bar codes were fake after they and the CIA commissioned another company to try to detect the messages and were unable to uncover anything. But by then Montgomery was already making headway with other software claims. His company got a contract with the Air Force to handle video shot by unmanned Predator drones. He claimed his program could recognize weapons in the surveillance video. In 2004 the U.S. Special Operations Command reportedly gave his company a $30 million no-bid contract for “compression” and “automatic target recognition” technology. Montgomery even got a security clearance. But a former worker told Playboy that he had helped fake some 40 demonstrations of the software.

"Olympic bombing suspect Eric Robert Rudolph -- wanted in attacks that killed two people and injured more than 100 in the Southeast -- was arrested early Saturday in western North Carolina and faces a Monday morning court date. Rudolph has been charged in the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta, Georgia; 1997 bombings at a gay nightclub and a clinic that performed abortions in the Atlanta area; and a bombing at a clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1998" -- CNN, May 31, 2003. "Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated at a peace rally Saturday night in Tel Aviv's Kings Square, a top aide confirmed. He was reportedly shot in the arm and back by a Jewish man in his mid-20s who is allegedly affiliated with right-wing extremist groups. . . . Amir confessed to the assassination and reportedly told investigators, 'I acted alone on God's orders and I have no regrets'." -- CNN, November 4, 1995.

Teenage Gitmo Detainee Goes Free After 7 Years

The Young Afghani may have been only 12 years old at time of capture. More below: "While in U.S. custody, Jawad was held in solitary confinement and subjected to Guantánamo’s infamous "frequent flyer" sleep deprivation program. He attempted suicide in December 2003 by repeatedly slamming his head against his cell wall. Two judges -- first his military commission judge, then a federal court judge -- ruled that evidence gleaned through Jawad’s torture and coercion was inadmissible. Despite all this, there’s hope for Jawad’s future, as his habeas co-counsel, Air Force Maj. David Frakt, told us in May

Confirmed: CRU Data Includes Raw Temp Data From 2005 & 2008!
merrie
by merrie  12-12-2009
Blogger Chiefio (http://bit.ly/5qX1Uk) has discovered more evidence that the data file I have been using to demonstrate the raw CRU shows little to no global warming in the last half century is in fact raw CRU data runs: Tom, If you look on Climate Audit you will see that I’m all over it! Our ftp site is regularly trawled as I guess yours is. It seems that a Canadian along with two Americans copied some files we put there for MOHC in early 2003. So saying they have the CRU data is not quite correct. What they have is our raw data for CRUTEM2 which went into Jones and Moberg (2003) " data through end of 2002.
