Trillions Of Troubles Ahead
JICWyllie
by JICWyllie  12-30-2009
When the debt treadmills spin too fast, people will have to jump off, ditch the dollar and create their own media of exchange. Communities did it very sucessfully in the 1930s with their own 'scrip' currencies.

Hot Air: Welcome to the Obama Administration’s “New Transparency”
merrie
by merrie  12-27-2009
I’m sure it is … for analysts and Fannie and Freddie workers, but I’m not sure taxpayers should share that optimism. The report states the U.S. Treasury will receive preferred stock paying 10% dividends and warrants to acquire nearly 80% of the common shares in Fannie and Freddie. However, the Treasury has already loaned $60 billion to Fannie and $51 billion to Freddie. At this point, it’s hard to believe more money is the answer. Maybe the New York Times was right: Democrats plan to talk about deficit reduction in 2010 but not do anything about it for now. Or as President Obama puts it: “Mr. Obama calls it “a false choice” to pit spending to spur the economy against reducing the deficit. His advisers say the president, and American voters, favor both " spending to create jobs in the short term, and commitment to spending discipline and deficit reduction over the long term.”

The party of "government" is the end game. Wise up!
inglesita
by inglesita  12-18-2009
Will losing the health care battle keep the "Government Party" from growing in strength and power over the electorate? No. Until we vote all of the power-mongers out we will not have a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Do Left Still See Benefits of Depopulation?
davboz
by davboz   12-10-2009    3
More food for thought on confusing issues. This would take some of the reasoning away from the the theories as to the philosophical driving forces behind the Climate Change Cabal. We know these are one wing of a global dominance effort who've basically hi-jacked a manufactured issue, but I'd included depopulation as one of their backbone goals. Then again, this may be just propaganda so we think, "Oh! Maybe they ARE sincere. Maybe this isn't an ulterior motive behind climate change fascism."

How Well They Played Our Game
debbyski
by debbyski  12-6-2009    1
"It did not take long for the Japanese to tire of the territorial restrictions placed upon them by their Anglo-American partners. No one in Oslo, or in the United States Congress, knew the truth then. But the Japanese did. And the American president’s support emboldened them to increase their military might — and their imperial ambitions. In December 1941, the consequence of Theodore Roosevelt’s recklessness would become clear to those few who knew of the secret dealings."

Researcher: NASA Hiding Climate Data
merrie
by merrie  12-6-2009    1
NASA later changed that data again, and now 1998 and 2006 are tied for first, with 1934 slightly cooler. Mr. Horner, a noted global warming skeptic and author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and Environmentalism, wants a look at the data and the discussions that went into those changes. He said he's given the agency until the end of the year to comply or else he'll sue to compel the information's release. His fight mirrors one in Europe that has sprung up over the the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit in the UK after thousands of e-mails from the center were obtained and appear to show researchers shaving their data to make it conform to their expectation, and show efforts to try to drive global warming skeptics out of the conversation. The center's chief has stepped down pending an investigation into the e-mails. The center has also had to acknowledge in response to a freedom of information request under British law that it tossed out

I'm not really into these kinds of cultures but it's sad that looters have already (many times) scooted away with so much. FTA: "The folio is part of a treasure trove of 15th-century Tibetan art and manuscripts that could be linked to the real-world inspiration for Shangri-La, a fictional paradise described by British writer James Hilton in his popular 1930s novel Lost Horizon."

Fighting In The Streets - Life In Obama's America
ColoradoRight
by ColoradoRight  11-17-2009
We conservatives have long talked about our willingness to fight for freedom. In a sense, that's generally been metaphorical, especially when talking about domestic rather than foreign enemies. With the far left now on the march, however, it isn't metaphorical any more. It's just one more sign of the Age of Obama--fighting in the streets, as the extreme Left has been empowered as never before.

Part 2 The Marijuana Trick
mountainpalm
by mountainpalm  10-21-2009    1
In September of 1937, hemp became illegal. The most useful crop known became a drug and our planet has been suffering ever since. Congress banned hemp because it was said to be the most violence-causing drug known. Anslinger, head of the Drug Commission for 31 years, promoted the idea that marihuana made users act extremely violent. In the 1950s, under the Communist threat of McCarthyism, Anslinger now said the exact opposite. Marijuana will pacify you so much that soldiers would not want to fight. Read MORE at source..........

Excuses Wearing Thin for Obama, Media Pals
merrie
by merrie  10-21-2009    2
Yet just a few months ago, the Obama camp was singing a little different tune. It was under criticism for the $787 billion stimulus package it bulldozed through Congress on grounds that massive spending was needed to keep the unemployment rate from breaching 8 percent. When joblessness hit 9.5 percent in June, Vice President Joe Biden said, "We misread how bad the economy was." They inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression, or the economy turned out to be worse than they thought. Which is it? It can't be both -- unless your brain is completely addled by the Obama charisma. That's the backdrop to the story of Rush Limbaugh getting booted from a group bidding to buy the St. Louis Rams. He was smeared on CNN and MSNBC with false accusations of making two racist comments. He is an abrasive critic of Obama, so he must be racist.. . Recently an MSNBC personality accused the U.S. Chamber of Commerce of lobbying for policies that amount to being "treasonous . . .

He lost me completely when his Administration declared we were in an economic crisis then he & the Congress proceeded to sink us even deeper with irresponsible spending. The spending is in such huge amounts that there is no accountability or oversight. It's going down a black hole and our Country is going with it.
