POPSEating healthfully can increase your food bill tenfold, says Ag Dept. study More evidence that overhauling the U.S. health insurance system is only a small step towards making Americans healthier. If, as the study's authors conclude, " resh vegetables and fruits are rapidly becoming luxury goods" (since their prices are most strongly influenced by inflation), then we have a structural nutritional problem built into our food system. This piece is from March 2008.

POPSA Merry Christmas for 'Health Care Command and Control Administration's' Congress
'not green enough' will be rationed. The cross enforcement of anti-pollution laws and green technologies will bring the EPA to the party as an enforcement arm tailored to regulating all manner of pollution producers. Think of banning riding mowers as creating pollution and a sedentary lifestyle, thus running afoul of the 'Green AND Obesity Police.' Want to smoke a cigar with your goombahs at the local pizzeria? Fuggedaboudit! Pizza will, of course, be banned or regulated as a major cause of obesity. Those ovens that pump out CO2 by the cubic yard have got to go, too. And cigars? Not only do they cause cancer, global warming and spew aroma pollutants, but the second hand smoke is a weapon used to assault other peoples' health. Now fur-wearing can be rightfully banned as the glorification of sport hunting among otherwise 'civilized' people. The practical implications of amassing policy-making power in one central administration is almost endless as more and more regulatory

POPSIs CREDO Action Shilling for Fast Food Nation?
To an old hand at how people with their own axe to grind plant stories that show them in a good light, I smell a rat, The big rat I smell is the USA Today story is that those aligned with the Fast Food Nation helped "validate" the USA Today "expose." A careful reading shows that the school lunch program will be revisited next year, so this is round one in trying to get Jack in the Box, KFC, Mickey D and others into the K-12 school lunch rooms. They already end up serving most of the food in US colleges because they are seen as revenue sources. The industry spokespeople and the university profs (whose research may well be funded by backers of fast food in K-12 lunchrooms) would not have joined in the story if it did not serve the ends of their "bosses." Fast food meat may meet standards but the end product feeds obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, and type two diabetes. So the question is this: is CREDO just being slow, or are they receiving support from the Fast Food Nation

POPSAmericans Toss Out 40 Percent of All Food First people need to learn to care about themselves, as well as others. The servings in urban fast food fast food outlets are obscene. The price of fast food calories will have to rise drastically. A tax on MCDonalds etc. would be able to fund price reductions in far less wasteful slow food and collaborative cooing strategies.

This cure for obesity was developed in Europe over thirty years, and continues to have success today! Kevin Trudeau has slightly modified and modernized the original weight loss protocol, but the basics stay the same, and the same great weight loss results are still there!
