POPSEmpathy for Stalin, Hitler & Mao? It Must Be Oliver Stone.
Watch PJTV'S VIDEO ON OLIVER STONE'S LATEST LOONY MINISTRIES AT: http://bit.ly/6Rk7EV Director Oliver Stone’s upcoming Showtime documentary miniseries “Secret History of America” promises to put mass murderers such as Stalin and Hitler “in context.” “Stalin, Hitler, Mao, McCarthy " these people have been vilified pretty thoroughly by history,” Stone told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour in Pasadena. “Stalin has a complete other story,” Stone said. “Not to paint him as a hero, but to tell a more factual representation. He fought the German war machine more than any single person. We can’t judge people as only ‘bad’ or ‘good.’ Hitler is an easy scapegoat throughout history and its been used cheaply. He’s the product of a series of actions. It’s cause and effect … People in America don’t know the connection between WWI and WWII … I’ve been able to walk in Stalin’s shoes and Hitler’s shoes to understand their point of view.

POPSThe Modern Day DOT-Approved German Motorcycle Helmet German motorcycle helmet construction has come a very long way from the WWII-era M35 helmets from which they descend. As far as a modern DOT approved German motorcycle helmet goes, the classic shape of the M35 remains the same while both the comfort and safety factors come from a whole new world.

POPS "Iceberg -- Dead Ahead!" Criminal. Irresponsible. Outrageous. Even before the federal government nationalizes the entire, $3 trillion-a-year health care industry, its spending was completely out of control: data courtesy of Bianco Research The only single American event in history that even comes close to matching the cost of the credit crisis is World War II: Original Cost: $288 billion, Inflation Adjusted Cost: $3.6 trillion The $4.6165 trillion dollars committed so far is about a trillion dollars ($979 billion dollars) greater than the entire cost of World War II borne by the United States: $3.6 trillion, adjusted for inflation (original cost was $288 billion). Go figure: WWII was a relative bargain. I estimate that by the time we get through 2010, the final bill may scale up to as much as $10 trillion dollars…

POPS"Nazi-doodlebug sonic deathwave cannon" coming to a riot near you more (at source): According to Defense News, this is "a patented process involving Pulse Detonation Technology (PDT)". There might be some new special sauce involved, but the basic idea is an old one - pulse-detonated fuel/air mixtures were used in the Argus "pulse jet" which propelled the Nazis' V-1 (aka "Doodlebug") cruise missiles during WWII, for instance. Fuel-air explosions can also be generated without a confining container, as in the various kinds of "bunker buster" munitions employed by the world's militaries - so called as their prolonged overpressure is particularly hard on structures. Russia's "Father of All Bombs" and the British shoulder-fired Anti Structures Munition are of this type.

POPSReal-life heroism: The first submarine appendectomy (U.S.S. Seadragon, 1942) "They are giving him ether now," was what they said back in the aft torpedo rooms. "He's gone under, and they're ready to cut him open," the crew whispered, sitting on their pipe bunks cramped between torpedoes. One man went forward and put his arm quietly around the shoulder of another man who was handling the bow diving planes. "Keep her steady, Jake," he said. "They've just made the first cut. They're feeling around for it now." "They" were a little group of anxious-faced men with their arms thrust into reversed white pajama coats. Gauze bandages hid all their expressions except the intensity in their eyes. "It" was an acute appendix inside Dean Rector… The nearest naval surgeon competent to operate on the nineteen-year-old seaman was thousands of miles and many days away. There was just one way to prevent the appendix from bursting, and that was for the crew to operate upon their shipmate themselves.

POPSAmazing Sand Drawing of WWII Dont miss this amazing Video Clip . . first read it properly.. This video shows the winner of "Ukraine’s Got Talent", Kseniya Simonova, 24, drawing a series of pictures on an illuminated sand table showing how ordinary people were affected by the German invasion during World War II. Her talent, which admittedly is a strange one, is mesmeric to watch. The images, projected onto a large screen, moved many in the audience to tears and she won the top prize of about $130,000.00 She begins by creating a scene showing a couple sitting holding hands on a bench under a starry sky, but then warplanes appear and the happy scene is obliterated. It is replaced by a woman’s face crying, but then a baby arrives and the woman smiles again. Once again war returns and Miss Simonova throws the sand into chaos from which a young woman’s face appears. She quickly becomes an old widow, her face wrinkled and sad, before the image turns into a monument to an Unknown Soldie

POPSMother Motherland monument This memorial of huge sizes was built in the end of 50’s to pay the tribute to the memory of those people who were killed on their duties during the WWII. The monument is in Guinness Book of World Records as the highest monument at that time. The woman symbolizes Russia and is two times higher than Statue of Liberty with 85 meters high (~280 feet.)

POPSWWII: Some of what happened and why. This is a good short article. My thought as I read this is could we..in the world be looking at history repeating itself? Most people seem unaware of what is going on. The main news sources don't record many things. Most people are happy running their rat race..living day to day...they don't question why? Or don't look deeper. Just some thoughts.

POPSDecember 7, 1941: Day of Deceit--FDR and Pearl Harbor FDR deliberately set up a plan to provoke Japan into attacking the US Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor (where they sat as ducks in this new forward position, resisted by Naval commanders for that very reason), in order to force reluctant Americans into war with Germany. Throughout 1941, FDR implemented the remaining seven provocations . He then gauged Japanese reaction through intercepted and decoded communications intelligence originated by Japan’s diplomatic and military leaders. The island nation’s militarists used the provocations to seize control of Japan and organized their military forces for war against the U.S., Great Britain, and the Netherlands. The centerpiece – the Pearl Harbor attack – was leaked to the U.S. in January 1941. During the next 11 months, the White House followed the Japanese war plans through the intercepted and decoded diplomatic and military communications intelligence.
