A big battle among construction companies is expected to develop over the Kč 80 billion (€ 2.9 billion) that Prague City Hall wants to spend on extending existing metro lines and creating a new one during the next decade.
Last week, City Hall announced its plan to extend the green A line to Prague Ruzyně Airport and build a new blue D line from main train station Hlavní nádraží to Písnice in Prague 12. Investment into each line is estimated at Kč 40 billion, and the lines are scheduled to be completed by 2018.
