Chalco, Méx., 8 de mayo. Vecinos de la comunidad de San Lorenzo Chimalpa, en este municipio, bloquearon casi cuatro horas ambos sentidos de la carretera federal México-Cuautla, en protesta por la falta de agua que afecta a unos 10 mil habitantes.

El gobierno municipal, encabezado por el alcalde Vicente Alberto Onofre Vázquez, surgido de Convergencia, criticó la manifestación y aseguró que en breve concluirán las obras de excavación de un pozo que, según dijo, solucionará la escasez de agua.

La mañana de este viernes, unos 200 lugareños se trasladaron a la sede del ayuntamiento, donde se quejaron de que que las autoridades no han dado una respuesta a su demanda.

Minutos después, salieron de la alcaldía y se enfilaron a la carretera federal México-Cautla, marchando sobre la avenida Bulevar Cuauhtémoc hasta el entronque con el libramiento a Chalco.
