We could say that it could sometimes be difficult to understand some tinnitus causes since we cannot see why these conditions can lead to a condition called tinnitus. We will try to discuss it here one by one so that tinnitus sufferers worldwide can more or less properly understand why the mechanism behind this condition characterized by a ringing in the ear.

Known as tinnitus causes are: ear infections, ear wax impaction, exposure to loud noise, presbycusis (an age related hearing loss), ototoxic drugs, hole in the ear drum, ear tumors, Meniere's Disease, head or neck injury and stress.

Ear infections can cause tinnitus. When the inner ears get infected, there is a big possibility of an inflammation to occur in some parts of the inner ears. When this happens, the cochlea is blocked and the sound waves could not be delivered properly, hence there would be a ringing in the ears.
