Questo sondaggio ha anche fotografato una situazione di grande tensione tra i sostenitori dei due candidati: il 25% dei supporter della Clinton è orientato a votare McCain a novembre se Obama sarà il candidato Democratico, mentre il 19% dei sostenitori di Obama farebbe lo stesso se la Clinton ottenesse la nomination.
