Truck Accident Closes Down Lanes On 101 Highway

(CBS) HOLLYWOOD, Calif. A U-Haul truck collided with another vehicle collided on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in Hollywood, trapping one person in the wreckage and closing all but one lane, authorities said.

The accident happened occurred at 2:19 a.m. on the 101, near West Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Firefighters rescued one person from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. The victim's condition was not immediately determined.

Only one lane was open as of 3:45 a.m., according to the CHP.
