Die Elite hat Angst

Die Anfeindungen zwischen Netz-Kritikern und Web-Enthusiasten erreichen neue Höhepunkte. Warum scheint die Debatte in Deutschland größere Ausmaße anzunehmen als zum Beispiel in den USA?

In Deutschland aber bangt gerade eine ganze Reihe von bisher mit Ansehen und Einfluss ausgestatteten Personen darum, ihre Legitimierung als Bildungselite zu verlieren. Das Ergebnis ist ein Kampf zwischen früheren und zukünftigen Machthabern. Gerne würde ich auf solche Kriegsrhetorik verzichten, doch die für offene, global denkende und zukunftsorientierte Menschen vollkommen unverständlichen, permanenten Querschüsse einiger Vertreter der beschriebenen Gruppen lassen einem keine andere Wahl.

Dabei braucht es eigentlich nicht viel, um diesen Kampf zu entschärfen: Ein wenig mehr Offenheit, ein wenig mehr Verständnis und ein klarer Blick nach vorne statt nach hinten. Das wünsche ich mir von all denen, die sich momentan auf Kriegsfuß mit dem Internet befinden.
