Philips 47PFL5522D/05 digital tv review

img42.jpg

Here we have a giant, 47-inch digital LCD television produced by Philips Electronics UK that delivers a flicker free progressive scan image at an elegant resolution of 1366 x 768p. A 16:9 aspect ratio, widescreen is the standard video format for the 47PFL5522D/05.

For the purpose of picture enhancement Philips has deployed a virtual army of technologies, including Digital Crystal Clear, Luminance Transfer Improver, Colour Transient Improvement, Contrast Plus, 3/2 – 2/2 motion pull down, 3D Comb Filter, Active Control, Digital Nose Reduction, Jagged Line Suppression, Progressive Scan, and Sharpness Adjustment. Wow!

When it comes to connectivity, comes on strong in its field. Carrying two SCART ports, two HDMI ports, a component connection, and an S-Video port. That’s really pretty good for a 47-inch model LCD display. Most major connection types are represented on this model. A handy CI slot gives this model a tiny boost in the device connection
