The Story of π [Google Video, 3:14 min. – apropiadamente] es un precioso vídeo divulgativo que explica visualmente por qué el área de un círculo es π r² y otras curiosidades sobre el número pi. Su autor es el matemático Tom M. Apostol quien trabaja en teoría analítica de números. Está en inglés pero como es muy visual creo que se entiende sin problemas.

Lo vi en Some mathematical videos, donde hay otros cuantos vídeos curiosos sobre números y cuestiones matemáticas. Es una anotación del excelente blog God Plays Dice (Dios juega a los dados) que también recomiendo seguir a quienes le gusten estas cosas.
