Broon modelling for Michaelangelo.

Put maer Gin in yer tonic, Gordin. Labour Cullodened in Glasgow east. Within the next eighteen months that will be the same in Blackpool. Why? Last night I talked to a young man who echoed the derision of youth and the enthusiasm of not having lived through past Labour miseries on the late 60's and mid 70's. With prospective Conservatives swanning it in deepest Rwanda, now is an ideal time for the youth of the region to kick these fossils in the dangly bits. Go for it Ben. If you can't find a decent Party to adopt you, follow the lead of the Independent Doctor in the Forest of Dean and go it alone. I think the Conservatives have dropped a clanger with their nominee and I will be doing everything in my power to explain why to the electorate. Already the hierarchy of the local CP(Conservative Party) refuse to debate their situation with anyone not in their local party. Where was that article that say it takes £20K to get a nomination as a CP prospective candidate?

Is the Web making young people vote?
Victoria Barret
by Victoria Barret  Today 12:50 AM
Youth voter turnout has increased in recent elections, including this year's primaries. I believe the Web has made it easier and more interesting to be politically engaged -- and young people are connecting online.

Xziex Atmospheric Water Generators
Xziex
by Xziex  7-23-2008
The XZIEX Machine provides an inexpensive, limitless source of the original “health drink” nicknamed “the fountain of youth” for it’s ability to improve your energy, increase your physical and mental performance, eliminate toxins and waste, aid digestion, help you lose weight and keep your heart healthy, and make your skin radiate health. The XZIEX Machine creates fresh clean water out of thin air by extracting water from the humidity found naturally in Earth’s atmosphere. Since there are billions of gallons of water recycling in the atmosphere every day, the perpetual supply is limitless and accessible almost everywhere in the world. The XZIEX Machine extracts the water through a sophisticated condensation process and sends it through a series of state-of-science purifiers. The unprecedented technology removes all inorganic materials, undesirable odors and tastes, particulate matter smaller than .01 microns, and all forms of bacteria, metals, minerals, viruses and other elements that

How dumb are we?
Silkweaver
by Silkweaver  7-22-2008    6
Though I tend to agree to the general proposition here, it might be that we witness the arising of a different kind of intelligence, that adapts to the information explosion. Perhaps knowledge is not equated with understanding, and books are not the nexus of intelligence anymore? Perhaps nowadays we need to learn more about the future than we learn about the past?

Obama's Youth: Hope, Change And Snappy Uniforms
merrie
by merrie  7-21-2008    2
50 hours a year. 100 hours for college students, provided their type of service is deemed acceptable by a sprawling new Federal bureaucracy. Oh, and Obama's going to double the size of the Peace Corps while quadrupling AmeriCorps. I'm curious if anyone will be left to fill all the newly vacated private sector jobs. St. Barack concluded his speech with this gem: "Loving your country must mean accepting your responsibility to do your part to change it." But what if I love my country the way it is? Throwing more kerosene on the mob's torches, Obama is moving his nomination acceptance speech to Denver's 75,000-seat outdoor stadium. And is thinking about a speech at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate. Odd that he didn't choose Nuremberg. We've talked a lot about Liberal Fascism. Apparently, it wasn't a moment too soon. UPDATE: A Lizard invasion? Thanks for the LGF link, Charles!

Let me tell you about last night
willhelm
by willhelm  7-20-2008
I was a Zeppelin fan in my youth and I still pull those tunes out when I want to kick-start my rebel side. These days my musical tastes fall more in line with contemporary jazz, but there really is not a focal point. I like it all - blugrass, folk, 70s and 80s rock, some country, enya.. you name it. Last night was a post-modern mix of the most unlikely kind. The raw voice of Plant with the subtle sweetness and brilliantly soft sounding voice of Alison Krauss. It was quite a show. Bluegrass mixed with a Zeppelin twist and a folksy pop (speaking of post-modern) sound weaving in and out. I loved it. Most of all I just love Alison. Last night was supposed to be their finale performance but I hear they have added dates and are planning a new album.
