Barack Obama, accusing him of "palling around with terrorists" for his association with former 1960s radical William Ayers. The Obama campaign immediately denounced the attack as "shameless" and "offensive." "Americans need to know this." Palin cited a front-page article in today’s New York Times that explored the ties between Obama and Ayers. Obama had served on a charity board with Ayers in Chicago during the mid-90s, and Ayers was present at an organizing meeting in 1995 to kick off Obama's first election campaign for the Illinois State Senate. "There has been a lot of interest in what I read, and what I read lately well, was reading my copy of today’s New York Times and I was really interested to read about Barack's friends from Chicago," Palin said. It's good to see the Obama campaign conceding that Ayers is "a radical" who committed crimes, not just "a professor who lives in Barack's neighborhood." 2. Why is McCain talking about the sixties? He isn't. He's talking about Obama's relationship with Ayers over the past two decades or so, and Obama's comfort working closely with a man who built bombs to kill American soldiers and cops. 3. The crimes were committed when Obama was eight. Well, Eric Rudolph committed his crimes quite a few years back. Does he get cut some slack? 4. I am sure the McCain campaign thanks their rival for running an ad in Ohio that depicts Ayers, calls him a radical, mentions his crimes. This will make it a much bigger story.

POPSMcCain Team Shoves William Ayers Cover-up Into The Spotlight Some highlights: While the University sits on the complete Annenberg Challenge records, several months ago I was able to obtain certain key records of the Challenge - including board minutes, annual and semi-annual reports and financial records - from Brown University's Annenberg Institute. Brown housed the national Annenberg Challenge program that was set up in 1993 by a gift of $500 million from Walter Annenberg. While the material I was provided is helpful it is no substitute for the complete documentary record that is apparently housed at the University of Illinois and thus that public University should immediately make available to the public those records. Below is an analysis of what I found in the documents I was able to obtain.

POPSObama, Ayers, Woods Fund, AAAN There's too much here - combined together is William Ayers, a domestic terrorist who didn't believe he didn't go far enough, and Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi a founder of AAAN, who also held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism and was labeled by the State Department as a terror group. Where does Obama's association with terrorism end?
