POPSBurried wearing an Obama T-Shirt? It's all about him I got a letter -- I got a note today from one of my staff -- they forwarded it to me -- from a woman in St. Louis who had been part of our campaign, very active, who had passed away from breast cancer. She didn't have insurance. She couldn't afford it, so she had put off having the kind of exams that she needed. And she had fought a tough battle for four years. All through the campaign she was fighting it, but finally she succumbed to it. And she insisted she's going to be buried in an Obama t-shirt. Many observers have noted that the president often seems extraordinarily self-referential. It's all about him, they say. But even those critics might be a little taken aback by the "buried in an Obama t-shirt" remark. Is it really that much about him?

POPSMalignant Self-Love ~ Narcissism Revisited UPDATED: Dangers of TOTUS .... Obama Reads Word "Corpsman" as "Corpse Man" Twice http://bit.ly/9eLXpS http://www.youtube.com Comment (1) Justine Obama's supporters are so weird . . . and yet, no better symbol of his presidency so far than a logo and slogan slapped on a decaying corpse (or corps). ....Israpundit found a confirmation of this hellaciously masturbatory ego-stroke in the St. Louis Post Dispatch. http://bit.ly/a5oquh How long until we see Organizing for America hawking Obama t-shirts at cancer wards and funeral homes?

POPSThe World's Strangest Liquid - Water A good article highlighting bizarre properties of water. One of the strangest was the discovery that water is being created at the center of our galaxy, its magnetized membrane holds it at the center, much like a womb, much like the "cosmic mother" the ancients spoke of as the center of our galaxy. BTW, this isn't the article about the water at the center of the galaxy, but you can find it if you look, discovered about a month ago by a new satellite telescope.

POPSObama Mispronounces "Corpsman" At Prayer Breakfast The video would not clip but he sounded weird. Maybe he needed some medicinal help to get through the Prayer Breakfast. Pres. Bush got a whole lot of ridicule for mangling words but I don't think this is one he would have had a problem with. Go Tebow. You, at the Prayer Breakfast, were an encouragement and belonged there.

POPSTop 10 Most Evil Women We all tend to focus on the evil men in the world and forget some of the truly evil women that have lived. I hope to correct that with this list. POPSIndia is Sinking into Earth's Mantle This of course leads to the question, “Have we angered the earth?” Will it suck us all into its mantle should we fail to heed the advice of the Warmist religion? Next time you’re outside, hug the earth. Tell it you appreciate how it keeps you from floating off into space with its gravity. And try to refrain from jumping — it doesn’t like that. If we all work together, we can make the earth happy.

POPSObama is Not Othello! There have been all sorts of weird comparisons of President Obama, such as Obama is like Moses leading his people out of the desert. Or, someone thinks someone thinks Obama is like Jesus and we expect him to walk on water. The Royal Shakespeare Company sent out a memo about Obama is like Othello. Unfortunately that last comparison stuck in my mind for awhile and I used it myself. But it's been pointed out to me that Obama hasn't murdered his wife and then committed suicide. Good Point, ....so why did this idea stick? The deadly jealousy: How the character Iago is so driven to bring Othello down, destroy him. Obama, I might as well note, also has not ordered the killing of anybody's first born children. And he has repeatedly pointed out that he 'doesn't do miracles,' Political change is up to us as well as him. A musical about him just opened in Germany, called "Hope." -- we can only Hope the president is not now compared to 'The Jazz Singer," or so

POPS9/11 Trial Moved from NYC: Problems Remain
A few hours ago this announcement was made. New proposed sites are nearby military bases. That seems reasonable. This clip, though, is not specifically about that news but a good background of what are considered some of the "problems," in all this. One unmentioned problem is that lawyers are going to get paid tens and tens of millions of dollars a year -- from taxpayers money - and they talk of the trial taking years. This is especially annoying since we've been told this guy tried to plead guilty when first appeared before one of Bush's kangaroo court ad hoc military tribunals he designed. Our concept (or illusions) of "fair trial," and "speedy justice," pretty well trashed. Just this photo in the clip, for example, which we've seen hundreds of times, is against international standards of justice and treatment of prisoners. And Republicans rejoice, seeing this trial move as a defeat for Obama!? -- Some talk of Obama as a Black Moses, --sorta weird. More like Othell

POPSJoel and Ethan Coen talk about Gambit next http://www.talkingfilms.net/joel-and-ethan-coen-talk-about-gambit-next - There have been loads of stories being followed in the past year that have somewhat fizzled out at the point of production. This is another one of those weird stories. After A Serious Man the Coen brothers are still thinking of adapting one of their older scripts called Gambit.
