But should Boltanski live beyond the eight years, Walsh will pay full price. Should Boltanski die before the eight years the footage goes to Walsh but if he lives then it belongs to him. Boltankski wants to prove to Walsh, who says he never loses a bet, that no one can beat the odds all the time. In an earlier AFP piece, Boltanski said that Walsh told him he would die before the eight years are up because he never loses and while Boltanski conceded that he doesn't take the best care of himself he still is willing to bet with the man he calls a devil."

POPSVideo game sales slumping? I hope so!! Personally, I think people in this country spend way too much time and money on video games. We need to get serious...we need to get to work. We've fallen hard in the past couple of years and the attitude that got us into this mess is not going to get us out of it. If we took half the time and money spent playing video games and applied it to work that needs to be done, we'd go a long way towards improving things.

i tend to keep my sports preferences to myself but there's something about the Ireland-France World cup qualifier that is deeply offensive, offensive on levels deeper than just sports. I like the USA way of handling such decisions. FIFA has an attitude I associate with decadent European aristocracy, basically saying: "Too bad. Tough luck. We have made our decision (i.e. wrong decision) and there is nothing you can do about it." In the USA, one of our positive traits is to do something about clear injustice or wrong; at least try: We never had kings; never will. Re: T. Henry -- maybe FIFA should change the name of the game to "Handfootball." That way, if France wins the World Cup, at least it will be clear what game they are playing. The solution, obviously, would be to have video replay reviews -- other ideas such as an extra ref behind the goal and/or the refs talking decisions over might help. But as it stands now, the World Cup is tainted by this admitted cheating

POPSSCAM: Goldman Sachs Wins Big Through "Bailout" Game And Timothy Geithner, the U.S. treasurer, is their Insider, controlling Congress through "must pass" legislation, while eliminating their largest competitor (Lehman which apparently was NOT "too big to fail") and cleaning out their largest creditor (AIG).....and all this financed on the backs of the American taxpayer or federal debt (which the Fed and Bernanke merely print money for). Meanwhile hundreds of small banks across the U.S. are being taken over....whose assets then go guess where.....right, to the large banks. But there is more. As mentioned in the video, it's written here too: Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Facciponti was quoted by Bloomberg as saying of the case: The bank has raised the possibility that there is a danger that somebody who knew how to use this program could use it to manipulate markets in unfair ways. The obvious implication was that Goldman has a program that allows it to manipulate markets in unfair ways.

POPShell comes home: killing is the ultimate traumatic experience we think that things are strained now-?- with our tumbled economies...........can't charge that new dress- or get that hot video game for the kids- etc...........or worse houses going into foreclosure- when these soldiers begin to come home ? well i shudder to think- we sent them to hell- made a total mess of the world that they left behind- they - i dare say will not have the usual capacity- to cope well with things they have done- and where their worlds are now. upon their return.............. fighting for democracy? b.s.!!! oh well...........i just don't see how this has done anything but serve to cut the meager threads that bind us all - the fiber of morality is hanging by very lose threads...........

POPSArmy Experience Center's Bad Experience: Turns out Training Kids to Kill Not Popular with Public September 12, 2009, a crowd of 250 activists marched to the AEC in opposition to the use of public dollars to teach children--in a quasi-public-space--that killing can be fun, while also recruiting eighteen-year-olds to engage in the real thing. This time, police arrested six protesters and one journalist. The journalist, Cheryl Biren, wasn't with the protesters but was picked out of the crowd, apparently because of her professional camera. Days prior to this long-planned and publicly announced protest, the Army preemptively announced that it would likely close the AEC and not open any others in shopping malls, as had been planned. The reason? Are you ready to hear this? By their own admission, the Army doesn't need any more recruits because the bad economy has driven up recruitment significantly.

In your letter to the Minister of Justice ask her also to inquire about the requested investigation into the apparent gang rape video sent by Equality Now to the Tokyo police department, and ask that her office investigates this and other actual rape videos to ensure that all those involved are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Please also continue to write to Illusion Software asking it to withdraw immediately from sale all games which involve rape, stalking or other forms of sexual violence or which otherwise denigrate women.
