POPSDarkness reigns: Obama and the Vampire Congress
Meet the Beltway bloodsuckers. They convene in the dead of night, when most ordinary mortals have left work, let their guard down, or are lying asleep in bed. Pale-faced and insatiable, the nocturnal thieves do their nefarious business in backrooms and secret chambers. Their primary victims? Taxpayers, the free market, and deliberative democracy. Democrat leaders have been promising the most ethical, transparent, open, and engaged administration for years. Instead, they have delivered a bleak and creepy legislative environment that could double as a Twilight movie set. House Democrat leaders forbade debate on all but one amendment not authored by themselves. Skulking Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid rammed the government health care takeover package through under cover of darkness before Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Senate Finance Committee killed a GOP amendment that would have required Demcare to be available online for 72 hours before the committee voted. Reid and his Volterr

POPSA Little Something To Write The DOJ About
Concerned about bringing Blackwater to justice and pehaps, open up a few cans-o-worms for public scrutiny and entertainment while setting a legal precedent for both corporate and government adherence to rule of law? Write the DOJ and let them know you're watching. More from the article below: "Judge Ricardo Urbina of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia dismissed charges against the guards on Dec. 31, saying prosecutors had misused protected statements the guards gave during an internal review of the September 2007 shooting in Iraq. Urbina’s decision followed more than three weeks of closed-door court hearings. National Security Division trial attorneys Joseph Kaster and Michael Dittoe said in the Jan. 5 filing that the Justice Department is not opposed to releasing redacted versions of post-hearing memos. “Such a procedure would properly balance the First Amendment concerns with the rights of the parties and victims to a fair trial,” they said in court papers."

POPSUN backtracks on Climategate, will not investigate Today Pachauri reversed course and instead launched a defense of the climate scientists that have been accused of collusion, modification and deletion of data and a host of other offenses. He said that he felt the scientists “are being unfairly targeted.” Pachauri said, “The persons who have worked on this report, and those who unfortunately have been victims of this terrible and illegal act, are outstanding scientists, and have contributed enormously over the 20, 21 years of the existence of the IPCC.” Pachauri stated that his only concern was finding out who was behind it, not if there are any problems with the science behind the manmade climate change theory or the scientists that formulated it. "I think this is an illegal act. The only issue that has to be dealt with as far as this occurrence is concerned is to find out who is behind it," he said.

POPSIs this Obama's most dangerous screw-up yet?
"To you and me this may not seem like a big deal. But I’m told this is hugely significant and shows just how out of touch the Obama administration is with the intelligence community. I’m told that no other President has issued such blanket statements of public mourning directed toward an attack on the CIA and thereby having the White House itself confirming an attack on our intelligence community. The intelligence community is licking its wounds right now and Obama’s rush to confirm for the world that the community suffered such wounds has the intelligence community simmering tonight and Al Qaeda preparing a PR blitz with what they view as good news. UPDATED: Take the information above and couple it with this. The White House is subtly blaming the intelligence community for the failure to deduce the Delta/Northwest attack." Why? Presidential aides are concerned that Obama will somehow be unfairly accused of dropping the ball on the fight against terrorist in Yemen

POPSFarewell Oprah, I Suggest A Gift To Black America Before You Go
Without question, Oprah has done tremendous good, touching the lives of millions in a positive way. And for this I salute her. Because she has such a huge heart and compassion, Oprah tends to take the emotional liberal side of issues. However, though well intentioned, ignoring reality and human nature can be extremely destructive. A common theme on Oprah's show is everyone is a victim of somebody or something. All abusers are not the products of abuse. History proves some people are simply evil and some people are lazy losers. And why in almost 25 years of broadcasting have we not seen one conservative, "I am not a victim of white America" black guest on the Oprah show? This is a huge disservice to black America. We blacks, I am black, are blessed to be born in the greatest land of opportunity on the planet. And yet, liberal icons are still filling the heads of black youths that they are victims of a sexist, racist and homophobic America.

POPSThe Globlization Of Gay Bashing "This destitute nation is the kind of place that you may have seen in late night infomercials where flies buzz around the lips of starving children. Yet, the good citizens of Burundi have time to chant and hold signs demanding the imprisonment of homosexuals. n Nigeria, lawmakers are debating a bill that would imprison gay people who live together and jail anyone who doesn’t rat out the gay couples. What we are seeing in front of our eyes is the globalization of gay bashing. The United States has exported marketing techniques and church structures to culturally homophobic countries. The sexual minorities caught in these nations do not have the same freedoms that we enjoy in the west, so they can’t fight back. They are essentially voiceless and fearful – allowing insidious myths and stereotypes to go unchallenged. With gay people effectively demonized and hatred promoted by civic and religious leaders, hysteria on gay issues ensues. "

POPSAre Americans a Broken People? Does knowing the truth of their abuse set people free when they are deep in these abuse syndromes? Has such a demoralization happened in the U.S.?Do some totalitarians actually want us to hear how we have been screwed because they know that humiliating passivity in the face of obvious oppression will demoralize us even further? What forces have created a demoralized, passive, dis-couraged U.S. population? POPSYou're in charge - sort of... Terrorism Self-defense on an airliner is admirable but not something to depend upon for security - neither is requiring full body scans. Why? Think about it? We have had nine years to launch some sort of effective national homeland security system. We still don't have one that can even tell us who is who working at airport, seaports, land border crossings. Several billion have been spent on consultants and tests and - nada. The objective of terrorists is to make themselves appear much more powerful than they are to convince politicians and voters to take actions that will exaggerate the importance of the terrorists. Fully fund and cooperate with Interpol to search out and arrest the infrastructure for illiegal actions they are all involved with.

POPSDeath Toll Rises to 10 as Clashes in Iran Intensify of the protests so far. The Shah’s forces never fired on protesters during Ashura, wary of violating the day’s sanctity. Obama Silent as Iranians Die for Freedom Iranian youth no longer chant “death to America.” Now they shout “death to the dictators” as they trample photos of Iran’s Supreme Leader. They also chant “Obama are you with us or with them ?” The reaction from the White House to the latest violence and the calls for recognition of the freedom movement? Silence. Once again, Obama doesn’t want to rock the boat with his hopes for a deal with the mad Mullahs who hold the Iranian people hostage to their warped ideology. Why won’t Obama adopt Reagan’s successful Cold War winning strategy? Because he was raised by a cadre of leftists who despised Reagan and resented the application of U.S. power especially when it was aimed at the Soviet Union with which many of Obama’s mentors and family had great sympathy.

POPSLibs Scold Black Conservatives: saying “Who the “H” Do You Think You Are?” Life is about choices. Liberals do a great disservice to minorities by constantly attempting to convince them they are eternal victims unable to achieve without liberal intervention. It has been said, “If you love someone, set them free”. --Lloyd Marcus (black) Unhyphenated American, Singer/Songwriter, Entertainer, Author, Artist & Tea Party Patriot ______________________________ Hey liberals, there are many BLACK conservatives, just as there are many GAY conservatives. In a world consisting of "tolerance," as defined by Webster, "liberal," the "literal" sense would be the norm, instead of the exact opposite There is nothing generous or tolerant about crushing, intimidating and silencing views other than your own Hand out free boots on your own time, and don't scold me for putting them on wrong. And the request for that boot tax you want on those "free boots" has been declined.

POPSUk Anti-Rape Campaign As much as I hate to think about rape and the holiday season at the same time, I remind myself that for women, it's always the season for rape. More from the article below: "This is all great and exciting, but when I read some news coverage of the campaign it seems that the campaign's focus on the victims is misguided. Take, for example, this article from Reuters that says "Ultimately we want to prevent rape from occurring in the first pace, by arming potential victims with key advice on how to keep themselves safe." It' s great that the campaign aims to help women protect themselves (many anti-rape campaigns focus on this angle), but to me this seems like a backwards approach. Men are the principle perpetrators of rape so why not have a campaign directed at them which aims to arms them with the tools to change their attitudes toward sex and power. If men stopped raping women, women wouldn't need advice on keeping themselves safe."

POPSVote at the General Assembly; Resolution Condemning “Defamation of Religion"
of a radical Islamist ideology.” The text “recognizes that, in the context of the fight against terrorism, defamation of religions and incitement to religious hatred in general become aggravating factors that contribute to the denial of fundamental rights and freedoms of members of target groups,” and expresses “deep concern” that “Islam is frequently and wrongly associated with human rights violations and terrorism.” “Today’s resolution comes at the same time as an Algerian-chaired UN committee in Geneva is seeking to amend the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, by adopting a protocol that would conflate the existing post-war prohibitions on racism with the Islamist agenda of silencing religious dissent,” said Neuer. “A full measure of the perils of today’s resolution must account not only for intimidation of Western writers and cartoonists, but the growing international legitimization of medieval anti-blasphemy laws"in countries like Pakistan, Egypt
