They hold the record for the ‘top per-capita aid recipients in the history of the planet’. They also hold the distinction of having received aid for more years than any other country. Over the past 60 years, Palestinian refugees have grown into permanent recipients of United Nations Welfare. Instead of enjoying a fairly comfortable standard of living with decent homes, thriving businesses, quality schools and maybe a little money in the bank, all the billions have resulted in abject poverty. They need to lessons in how to manage their money. The Palestinian Authority and Hamas are not the only beneficiaries of Palestinian poverty. UNRWA, which receives public funds but permits no outside audit, thrives and grows only when Palestinians are needy victims.
