I thought the juxtaposition of these two pieces in particular was interesting. Sam Harris is the author of The End of Faith (2004) and Letter to a Christian Nation (2006). Tim LaHaye is a minister and the author of more than 50 books, including the best-selling Left Behind series. POPSWhy We Grieve Differently Just be there for people. Just listening, is a big part of that. You don't always have to say anything to comfort another. A lot of people withdraw from others who are grieving a loss, (or dying themselves perhaps) because they don't know what to say, or because it reminds them too much of their own mortality. We all experience loss. Facing death can teach you many things... even if it's not your own. Yet.
