Charitable Organization Funds To Preserve Journalism?
merrie
by merrie  10-21-2009    1
The report is asking “philanthropic organizations to support local reporting.” That’s where the tax comes in " or fees " to be gathered in some fashion from telecom or internet providers.” I might not object if a clear definition of “journalism,” and adherence to that definition, must be met to get the nonprofit status. Of course, it all depends on the definition of the trade " like defining what “is” is. Next will be White House ordered legislation assuring that FOX News is excluded from “nonprofit status.” I cannot credit this report by linking to it, because the “original source” says I cannot (but never mind, they want me to donate to keep their less-than-honest endeavors alive) but go to Breitbart.com type in some keywords and you’ll find it.

Imagine world without suffering...
aklimento
by aklimento  10-8-2009
...And this world is just step away. Away from killing. Animal, birds, fish... whoever we (most of us now) are eating. God (Mother Nature, Karma, whatever it is) not forgiving us for breaking its rules to live in harmony with surrounding world and punishing us for our ignorance. If only diabetes! Whole metabolic syndrome with depressions and host of mood disorders, disfiguring obesity, heart failure as direct result. Everything starting from what we putting in our mouths. Far from everything what we can chew and swallow can be good for your body! Watch what you eating and drinking! Educate yourself. You will be terrified what we doing now and inevitably come to the vegan lifestyle, where is no place for cruelty, diseases, tricks and sufferings.

" 7.) You speak of epidemics. What is your understanding of an epidemic? How does it manifest? The explanation of epidemic is simple, we are now seeing: 1 in 6 children with specific learning disabilities. 12-15% children with attention deficit disorder. 1 in 87 with autism spectrum – a 1700% increase over ten years. 1% sudden infant death 40 deaths and 15,000 substantive adverse Gardasil reactions 1 in 15 over 65 with dementia; 1 in 8 over 85 Chronic fatigue syndrome Fibromyalgia Seizure disorders “West” syndrome Global developmental delay 1 in 450 with type 1 diabetes 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will develop cancer over a lifetime. Gulf war syndrome affecting and disabling 250,000 troops and 42,000 deaths. These vaccinated soldiers show the exact same neurological damages after vaccination as the infants and children are exhibiting after each childhood vaccination. These are strokes – oxygen demand exceeding oxygen supply – conclusively! This is just the tip of

Mediterranean Diet Helps Control Diabetes
kkcapricorn
by kkcapricorn  9-1-2009    1
people who followed the Mediterranean diet group also experienced improvement in other heart disease risk factors. Interestingly, weight loss was relatively comparable between the two groups by the end of the trial, suggesting that attributes of the Mediterranean diet beyond weight loss affect blood sugar control.

95% Free of Diabetes Symptoms after Surgery
ratcatcher2
by ratcatcher2  3-16-2009
The study was done by researchers in the US and was funded by Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a maker of surgical tools. It appeared in the American Journal of Medicine, which is published by a company called Elsevier. If you have type 2 diabetes and are overweight, this study provides hopeful news. But, like all major operations, bariatric surgery does have risks, and it isn't right for everyone. Your doctor will usually consider it only if you are very obese and you have tried to lose weight in other ways. You also need to be generally fit enough to have an operation, and be committed to changing the way you eat, as you'll need to eat much less than you did before the operation ... Guardian
