POPSStar Wars becomes stage spectacle David Campbell, chief executive of AEG Europe, which runs the O2, said: "Star Wars holds memories for practically everyone. "John Williams is THE composer of our times, and fans will be thrilled to know that both he and Lucasfilm have contributed fully to this new production. "To have the premiere at the O2 is a real coup for us, and I know there will be a lot of very happy Star Wars fans out there when they hear the news." The show will open at the O2 on 10 April. Tickets, costing between £30 and £100, will go on sale on Monday.

Obviously, this type of "error" sometimes requires collusion between employees--a way of marking the ticket so that you are sent to the correct theater, even though you've been sold the wrong ticket. Before anyone jumps to conclusions and chalks this up to politics, the fact is this is a fairly rare but not unheard of occurrence. There have been payola scandals in the past and it usually has more to do with either juicing the numbers for a big budget release or, more prosaically, lazy or incompetent ticket sellers at the theaters. Would I put it past Hollywood to collude with theater owners to depress sales of AAC? POPSClipette and The Box We just returned from seeing clipette in her acting debut. Well, it was a debut at least for me. I have to admit, I am not in the least a play person. I've been to two plays in my entire life and didn't like either and have never been back. My main reason for going was to support Adam and Clipette. To top it off, I didn't feel well but made the trek in anyway. I was a little nervous when I saw the size of the theatre and stage thinking, "If I go to another bad play that will be it, I'll be scared for life." The wife being a lover of the theatre agreed and was afraid for me as well. We were afraid my sitting through an hour of being bored would topple me into an ever lasting theatre trauma. Well... after sitting through it I can only say one thing... (continued)
