POPSThe 11 Keys of Spiritual Activism 4. Apply Synergy and Teamwork to Accomplish Goals. 5. Spiritual Activism is the Pursuit of Service for the Good of All, Not for the Advancement or Benefit of Individuals or Selected Communities. 6. Pursue Integrity, Honesty and Dignity in the Conduct of Your Actions. “Integrity is doing the right thing even if no one is watching.” 7. Do not Defame Your Detractors or Those Who Doubt You. 8. Raising Another Up Raises You Up As Well. 9. Learn to Listen to Your Heart and Not Your Mind. 10. Search Out Viable and Sustainable Solutions. “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.” 11. Spiritual Activism is about process. The process by which you arrive at the goal is as important as reaching the goal itself. If we live the change we want to see in the world, we cannot lose. We have already won.

POPSMilitary Hush-up: Incoming Space Rocks Now Classified "It's baffling to us why this would suddenly change," said one scientist familiar with the work. "It's unfortunate because there was this great synergy...a very good cooperative arrangement. Systems were put into dual-use mode where a lot of science was getting done that couldn't be done any other way. It's a regrettable change in policy."

POPS Spoiler Alerts! "24" Other questions emerged on the medical front. Jack Bauer is having memory lapses and soon enough will be hallucinating as the weaponized Mad Cow he inhaled eats his brain (Maybe as a cure he could inhale a weaponized Mad Horse?). Yet next week the FBI has him running around brandishing a gun and battling baddies. Golly, I hope Jack doesn't hallucinate himself into taking out half the FBI. This will all come together in a rollicking finale in late May. My Bold Prediction for a blockbuster finish - Jack's brain will be saved for next season by the timely intervention of Dr. House, called down from New Jersey (and away from his 8 PM Monday night time slot) just to treat Jack in the final episode. That is what we call entertainment synergy! And it might be the ony thing that could rekindle my interest in "House". Nahhh...

POPSG20: China takes on the west
First, while it is being hit hard by the slump in external demand and its own weak domestic consumption, China had not suffered the financial meltdown rocking the west. That is largely due to the fact that its banks were already state-owned, that they had not gone in for dodgy financial instruments, and that they have now opened the lending sluices to pour liquidity into the economy. They still have many faults, and may face a new wave of bad loans in a few years, but for the moment their balances have been strengthened and their loan ratios are low – and they do what the government tells them to. Second, China is insistent that, while it still faces major problems in reviving economic growth, it is taking the lead in coping with the crisis through its stimulus package, even if the danger is that it does not sufficiently address the fundamental need to boost domestic consumption and improve the welfare system. The official forecasts from Beijing that growth will hit 8% this year may

POPSInternet access & Net Neutrality: Slowing and Blocking Your Access to YouTube, Yahoo, Google, etc.
We the customers of any internet company already pay huge tolls for the benefit of using the internet, a communications system that was not only not developed by . We pay way too much for access to a technology that was developed for government use with our taxes. What the greedy bastards are trying to do is to extort companies like Google for the privilege of allowing their customers . And ... it clears the way for them ... to indiscriminately make money from users with zero accountability for service. The internet was founded on the concept of access for all ... net neutrality has at its core access to internet services at any time, to any place and with no restrictions or strings attached ,,, users and service developers have in principal equal rights to be online. ... net neutrality ... its core the very idea of being a sort of "penumbra" that implicitly protects every individual's civil rights in the digital r

He figures it will go for about 10x revenues of $400M. If Google buys it, it could be an interesting fit with Google's GrandCentral, Android, and all of Google's other communications schemes....

POPSOld-school journalism + blogging, social networks: synergy? Linked from Dave Winer's blog, I think. A cool, experimental idea: connect beat reporters with an online circle of stakeholders joined by modern net-based social-networking tools. In this scenario, the "new" "Web2.0" model of information distribution doesn't kill old-school journalism but reinvigorates it.

POPSBees make Honey Okay, I admit I occasionally eat honey because I hate bees..........okay, I really dislike them. I have had two incidences in my life where I was stung and they were not pleasant to say the least. I recently read bees are being treated inhumanely so I thought I would do a little research this morning on organic honey. Feel free to chime in with any comments you may have.
