POPSHow Leftist 'peace groups' are helping terrorists
In Latin America, most of the peace groups involved in areas of conflict have a strongly Leftist orientation, which means they are eagerto make accusations against the United States and freely elected democratic governments, while maintaining relative silence about Leftist insurgents and the brutality of dictatorships in Cuba and Venezuela. This behaviour of Western peace groups follows a familiar pattern. During the 1970s and 1980s, Soviet bloc intelligence agencies were heavily involved in organising and directing the Western European peace movement. After the collapse of the East German regime in 1989, Western scholars were able to examine the files of the Stasi, the East German Intelligence Service, which provided a window into the thinking of many major Western Peace groups and the eagerness with which the peace groups accepted Soviet Bloc support and espoused the Soviet line. Many of the peace groups only protested about NATO policies while ignoring Soviet actions.

POPSRasmussen: Opinions on ObamaCare hardening And the more that *gets out* the more the "hardening" will increase. The bill is insane. FTA: "its provisions are making a difference to some people … mostly state governors looking at gigantic unfunded mandates via Medicaid. It isn’t red-state governors doing all of the objecting...". "New York Democratic Gov. David Paterson and California GOP Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger are urging congressional leaders to rework the Medicaid financing in the Senate-passed bill, warning that under that version their states will be crushed by billions in new costs."

POPSSenator: ObamaCare opponents all birthers & racists Interesting take on the majority of Americans who do NOT support the current Health Care Bill. "The birthers, the fanatics, the people running around in right-wing militia and Aryan support groups, it is unbearable to them that President Barack Obama should exist." Hmmm....I must come under his "fanatic" category because I know nothing of the others. Barack Obama has every right to "exist", but as Americans, we have every right to disagree with his policies.

POPSI Won't 'Vigorously' Back Obama Re-election Bid: Howard Dean SCARBOROUGH: "Not vigorously." Boy, I can almost feel the confetti falling on my head here! My two cents: the MSM has largely been portraying Dean as a principled progressive opponent of ObamaCare. I say that good old personal spite might also be motivating Doc Dean. Remember that it was the very same Robert Gibbs who, during the 2003 Dem presidential primary campaign, was behind a TV ad showing OBL (Osama bin Laden) and suggesting Dean was incapable of protecting American's national security. PBO (Barak 0bama) has also hurt Dean's feelings, snubbing him for the HHS Secretary post which many Dems felt was his due. POPSSen. Nelson to announce support for health-care bill He caved. While I'm trying to help raise 3 little ones, my tax dollars will go to killing them. And look at that...every American "required" to obtain coverage. I listened to a young family man explain that as a laborer all his money went to rent, food, utilities, transportation and occasional doctor bills. He asked, "where am I going to find the money to buy health insurance especially when my company will have to raise the rates?" Why, from the Government of course!!! More Americans on the Government tit. (sorry, but that's how I feel)

POPSHuge Majority Support Offshore Drilling The opposition is not based on the logic of drilling but on a desire to strangle domestic production to drive up the price of energy so they can invest in "magic" energy that will supposedly create millions of green jobs and not be based on carbon. These people are out of touch with voters and the GOP needs to do a better job of pushing the issues so that the Democrats will eventually pay a political price for their obstruction of energy production. POPSBombshell: Crist 43, Rubio 43 Oh my. That caused me to have an intake of breath! Great news. I had noticed a couple (& I do mean a couple) of Rubio signs around our liberal dominated city but now I'm excited. I read recently that Rubio admitted that if he were Governor he, too, would have accepted *some* of the Stimulus money for Fla. but the rest of him seems like a true conservative. You never know what or who they *really* are until it comes time to vote and/or govern but there is no doubt that I support Rubio over Crist.

POPSWhy Dems Are Obsessed by Health Reform But buried in the surveys is an explanation for the Democratic obsession to pass the bill: An overwhelming 76% of Democrats back it. "They believe the liberal base expects them to deliver and will punish them if they don't," says Democratic pollster Doug Schoen, who worked for Bill Clinton in the 1990s. That fear is backed up by a new poll taken for the Daily Kos, (http://bit.ly/6ZNdob) the left-wing Web site: 81% of self-described Republicans say they are certain or likely to vote in 2010 compared to 65% of independent voters and only 56% of Democrats. "Democrats have simply not been given enough of a reason to come out and vote yet," writes liberal blogger David Dayen. "The left is waiting for that long-promised 'change' they can believe in." They believe the liberal base expects them to deliver and will punish them if they don't http://bit.ly/8WFw1R
