And both genetic analysis and archaeology show that humans didn't spread extensively beyond Africa until 50,000 years ago, suggesting a second migration at the time of the second wet spell. Fossil record Ian Tattersall of the American Museum of Natural History in New York is impressed by the findings. "They tie in approximately with the information we have from the fossil record."

Turning to Washington for help to save the declining news business says much about the mentality of mainstream journalism leaders, an attitude that we and the government are on the same side. This is the mentality that led to the news establishment’s acceptance of the Iraq War. Once you allow the government or private corporation to have any controlling link to the media you lose independence. Editors become fearful of criticizing the hand that feeds it. Publishers and benefactors become cozy and unbiased reports become fewer and fewer. Journalism becomes a de facto advertisement for consumer products. We hope in the future we’ll see more I.F. Stones, more guerrilla warriors on the Web, in print and on the air. Because of them—and not because of a government handout—great reporting will survive, as it always has.

POPSThe Work of Dr Ward Stone It was the awesome bird photography that caught my attention and I wanted to find out a bit more about the photographer. I am sure there may be other people in New York that do more for the preservation of our Natural world, I just don't know of any. I do know Ward though. Understand my frustration when I see the Media including the company I work for going out of their way to glorify conventional celebrities like musicians and actors, who for the most part are worthless human beings as far as the welfare of the Earth and her precious animals are concerned, while a hard working champion like Dr Ward Stone is struggling to stand up to his own government as they pressure him to stop doing the valuable work which he continues to do for all our benefit.

I imagine he thought I was his angel for those two flights, but as we went our separate ways after landing in Chicago and I watched him walk away, I knew he was mine, instead. This week, be an angel for someone. Let them be an angel for you, a stepping stone forward into their week. And know that sometimes the angel you need is the one who needs you.
