Around 75 per cent of the UK population are believed to be snorers with the condition most prevalent in middle-aged men. The exact cause is known but too much food or alcohol, and problems with the nasal passage and soft palate at the back of the throat are thought to have an effect.

Remember When?
thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  9-30-2009    10
When being sent to the principal's office was nothing compared to the fate that awaited a misbehaving student at home. Basically, we were in fear for our lives but it wasn't because of drive-by shootings, drugs, gangs, etc. Our parents and grandparents were a much bigger threat! The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties. It was unbelievable that dodgeball wasn't an Olympic event. Having a weapon in school meant being caught with a slingshot. Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better. Taking drugs meant orange-flavored chewable aspirin. Abilities were discovered because of a "double-dog-dare." If you can remember most or all of these, then you have LIVED!!! Didn't that feel good? Just to go back and say, "Yeah, I remember that!" Here's another blast from the past. Do you remember? .:) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CR8DMFfFs8

Introducing The Swiftboat Network

A new ploy to hide behind the corporate curtain to allow wealthy individuals unlimited expenditure in spinning any election. Sickening. See all the details at the source. Democratic elections are dead, and the sheeple will be baying low. Of course, were a protest to be mounted, we could count on the Pittsburgh Police to bring law to the land in a hurry.

Obama’s Fairytale School Spin
merrie
by merrie  9-7-2009    2
With all of his school records sealed off from public view, there is, of course, no way of proving if this even ever happened. “Now I wasn’t too happy about getting up that early,” Obama continues. “A lot of times, I’d fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever I’d complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and say, “This is no picnic for me either, buster.” As there seem to be no pictures of little Barack at this stage in his life, adults subjected to the same speech would be suspicious enough to ask, “Where are your school records?” Impressionable children could lap it up like the fairytale it is. “Now I know it’s not always easy to do well in school, Obama, Cool Dude continues. “I know a lot of you have challenges in your lives right now that can make it hard to focus on your schoolwork. “I get it. I know what that’s like. My father left my family when I was two years old, and I was raised by a single mother . . .

NASA scientists want to move the Earth
cakebelly
by cakebelly  8-13-2009    6
full at source: The plan put forward by Dr Laughlin, and his colleagues Don Korycansky and Fred Adams, involves carefully directing a comet or asteroid so that it sweeps close past our planet and transfers some of its gravitational energy to Earth. ‘Earth’s orbital speed would increase as a result and we would move to a higher orbit away from the Sun,’ Laughlin said. Engineers would then direct their comet so that it passed close to Jupiter or Saturn, where the reverse process would occur. It would pick up energy from one of these giant planets. Later its orbit would bring it back to Earth, and the process would be repeated.

Poi Spinning - Fun and a great way to keep fit.
The Infowarrior
by The Infowarrior  8-16-2009    2
I have a training (soft foam) set of these and even with those after about 10 mins start you to really "feel the burn" as it were. I think it originated in New Zealand but I'm not entirely sure. The exercise itself is more geared towards natural toning on the body and a slightly more physical workout on the arms but nothing too heavy on the muscle building side so it is ok for women to do if they are not looking to have bulging muscles. The more you practice the longer you are able to go for and there are some really fun and complex manoeuvres you can learn through some websites and DVD's but picking up the basics can be done in a matter of minutes After seeing this video I think I am going to have to get myself a pair of LED Poi now :-) as I always wanted to attempt the Fire Poi but... that is a big step when you are used to soft foam. The Fire Poi are on chains ended with a steel rod which is wrapped in Kevlar, which is then dipped in liquid paraffin left to soak and lit.

Artificial Gravity Slows Muscle Loss

The purpose is to make everyone who might attend a town hall feel as if they could be walking into a mob scene. Most Americans are decent people who don’t want to become part of a riot. Notice how quickly the Left’s media auxiliaries acted to muddy the waters, spinning tales of frightened Democrats hiding from imposing, probably racist mobs.

DNC Idiots
merrie
by merrie  8-10-2009    2
It is happening this month as Obamacare runs into Main Street USA. Checkout the videos and images from the early part of the Russ Carnahan meeting and just look at the people in line, and realize they will also be lining up to vote in 2010. Also check out the photos of the angry mob lining up in Denver to confront Nancy Pelosi. These are average American voters. And not only do they get out and protest DC’s direction - they talk. They talk to their friends and families, who talk to their friends and families. They are eyewitnesses whose credibility outshines anything the news media thinks it can brain wash us with. This is the year the DC PR machine runs into reality - and loses big. The only bigger loser (in 2010) will be all those liberal snobs in Congress who picked a fight with the American voters. Dumb move.

Scientists Make Radio Waves Travel Faster Than Light

A Los Alamos National Laboratory gadget, called a polarization synchrotron, combines radio waves and a rapidly spinning magnetic field, which forces radio waves to travel faster than the speed of light. The resulting phenomenon could lead to new technologies in health and communications.

Rachel Maddow Takes Down MSNBC's Resident Racist, Pat Buchanan
foxyarse
by foxyarse  7-28-2009
Needless to say, conservatives were far more concerned with rolling back the rights of women and minorities than offering policy solutions that truly helped low-income white men. In the past few months, conservative griping about the oppression of white men has come back with a vengeance. Lacking any real material with which to attack judicial nominee Sonia Sotomayor, Republican lawmakers and media conservatives have mightily struggled to paint Sotomayor as an unqualified affirmative-action candidate -- one committed to using the law to erode the rights of while males. Sotomayor was absurdly attacked as a "reverse racist"; she was accused of gaming the system to get ahead; her temperament, educational achievements and judicial history were slimely undermined despite ample evidence that she is more than qualified to serve on the Court. Some of the most vicious attacks have come from Pat Buchanan, a conservative extremist who for mysterious reasons still enjoys a spot on MSNBC

Bad Guys Refuse to be Charmed
clip-on-tie
by clip-on-tie  7-23-2009    1
Obama has set a series of false notes in foreign policy by standing silently as huge crowds in Iran courageously protested a stolen election and failing to support Honduras against a Chavez-like attempt to avoid the rules of a democracy. He has not even been consistent: in the first case, he feared being characterized as the Wild “Meddling” West; in the second, he had no compunctions against major meddling. In another sense, however, he was consistent. In both cases he failed to support the people who were standing up, which makes his rhetoric in Russia still another false note.
