POPSIf Fox 'News' was around to Report History
Yeah it would have been HisStory! ;-) Just like it is today! :-0 ! "Fair and balanced" if one equates reading lies off a teleprompter as 'informative and equitable' ... Who loves lies? Who cherishes lies? Who finds lies comforting & pleasing? Who is the father of lies anyway? So who do liars serve? And what about those who serve up or devour lies, thereby supporting, spreading deciets like a virus ... in the traffic of lies, does it matter if one originates the deception? If they promulgate false witness, support harm of those who have been falsely accused, is that not complicity? And how can one serve God, objectively, if they love lies, spread lies, support liars... ??? I think those who play with themselves and others are unwitting dupes who decieve themselves BEFORE they decieve anyone else. Just my opinion. And they serve evil, just like every liar before them. Personally I cannot stand lies. Or liars. MSM or otherwise. Thou shalt NOT is clear... lies, false witn

POPS"World needs a vacation from USA" He called for immediate technology transfer from the West to the Third World, to allow development based on clean technology — stressing the need to “reject intellectual property rights”. funds should not be distributed through the World Bank, which was trying to regain legitimacy by portraying itself as a “climate bank” while continuing to push fossil-fuel-driven development. Confronting global poverty and climate change means confronting US power. “I don’t think the world needs US leadership”, he said. “They should be more humble.” Whether the US achieves its goals “is where we, as civil society come in”, Bello said, suggesting that, by making intervention costly for the US, civil society could encourage a “new US isolationism”. The struggle is, he stressed, global. “The world needs a vacation from the messaianism of the US … A few decades of a self-absorbed US would be very good for the world.”

POPSJFK On Church-State Separation - No Spin, No Doubt "Finally, I believe in an America where religious intolerance will someday end, where all men and all churches are treated as equals, where every man has the same right to attend or not to attend the church of his choice, where there is no Catholic vote, no anti-Catholic vote, no bloc voting of any kind, and where Catholics, Protestants, and Jews, at both the lay and the pastoral levels, will refrain from those attitudes of disdain and division which have so often marred their works in the past, and promote instead the American ideal of brotherhood." POPSMilky Way double haloes spin both ways Perhaps remains of a gas clouds from which the Milky Way formed, it suggests the creation of the Milky way resulted from the turbulence of two primeval galaxies, spinning in opposite directions, which collided and were held together by mutual attraction

POPSYou'll never guess why John Edwards worked for a hedge fund This was really his answer! Man, Edwards is about the most slippery politician i've seen. he is actually trying to spin his year at a hedge fund as a learning experience about poverty. does he really think that people are this stupid? i can't wait to find out how much he got paid for this "learning experience." apparently that will be disclosed next week.

POPSAmerica's Gods The survey came up with other odd findings: most Americans believe in prophetic dreams, 4 in 10 believe in ancient advanced civilizations like Atlantis, 3/4 of Americans think their relatives will go to heaven, and only 2.2% identified with the term Evangelical even though 1 in 3 attend churches that theologians consider Evangelical. The real bottom line was that asking someone if he is Protestant, Catholic, or Jewish isn't likely to tell you much about what that person actually believes.

POPSWhy surge success is irrelevant "Arguments over whether U.S. forces can prevail in Iraq bypass a truth that no amount of media spin can change: The U.S. war effort in Iraq has always been illegitimate and fundamentally wrong."

POPSTop Scientist cools to global warming From Moonbattery.com: Kerry Emanuel of MIT used to get his name in the papers by claiming that global warming caused Katrina. His opportunistic findings were eagerly seized upon by the deranged Robert Kennedy Jr., who tried to spin them as proof that George W. Bush caused the hurricane. In an attempt to retain some credibility, Emanuel is now backing away from his hysterical claim that global warming will cause a plague of hurricanes. Now he says there will be a reduction in the number of hurricanes over the next two centuries.

POPSStanding Up to Conservative Bullying
Here's a bit more to explain the brinkmanship and absolutism: "Brinkmanship is being used to force the federal government to write a blank cheque for the pipeline, and indemnify Exxon against ecological disasters and further cost increases..." "Absolutism (Bush-style "you're either with us or you're with the terrorists" framing) is being used to bully Canada into committing to keep our troops in the midst of the anarchy and civil war in Afghanistan. The PR from the military is increasingly using the term 'enemy' to describe anyone in Afghanistan who opposes the continued presence of foreign troops in their country. The ideologically rabid Harper Conservative minority government routinely uses the "if you don't support our war, you don't support our troops" line to disparage anti-war groups. And today a military spokesman lambasted the Canadian media for daring to publicize opinion polls showing Canadians' strong opposition to the war, saying it was "demoralizing our troops".
