POPSTips for Safe Sneezing The new etiquette? I don't believe that the practice is new at all. Haven't we all seen others do it, or have been guilty of doing it ourselves? :?: Sneezing and coughing into your sleeve helps prevent airborne transmission of viruses and bacteria, but there is a certain yuck! factor in having saliva-and-snot-caked sleeves. The good doctor should have mentioned the obvious need to handle infected clothing carefully and wash it thoroughly...and promptly!

POPSEwwwww, sorry, but I'll pass... I haven't had a full blown cold in 4 years, ever since I swore off the flu shots and religiously started using Zicam and vitamin D. As long as I start with the zinc therapy & mega-dose D within the first day or two of symptoms. But, if I DO get a cold, sorry, I'm going to blow my nose versus letting it flow down my face.

POPS Vagus Nerve Stimulation Lifts Depression The amazing vagus nerve runs through the body and is involved in everything from sneezing to orgasm. As a relayer of signals from the brain to the rest of the body and back, it plays a key part in emotional and feeling states.

POPSEmployees At NC Domino's Fired After Posting Video On YouTube Domino's Vice President of Communications Tim McIntyre said the franchise owner of the Conover Domino's is innocent. WBTV also received an email from a woman claiming to be the employee behind the camera. She swears none of the food was ever delivered to customers and it was all a joke. Go to site for video -- if you can stomach it.

POPSSneezing 'can be sign of arousal' However, the nose also contains erectile tissue, and this may also become engorged during arousal, triggering the need to sneeze. There is a condition known as honeymoon rhinitis, in which men and women experience nasal stuffiness during sex.

POPSHantavirus 'plague' killed Grand Canyon Biologist Plague is an emotive word, but the disease hantavirus is endemic to the South West U.S.A. It can be carried and transmitted by wild animals, rats and fleas, and can also be transmitted by inhaling droplets expelled by humans when coughing or sneezing. Fatal cases are said to be rare, and it can be treated with antibiotics, but up to 50% of cases can be fatal if pneumonia develops. While Arizona officials said the disease was on the rise, the Center for Disease Control said the same was not true nationally.

POPSSneezing: A Symptom or A Symbol According to the Dalai Lama, Buddhist teachings inform us that people can attain low-level near-death awareness and "clear light" by sneezing. It is the Buddhists aim to pass through every transition with lucid awareness, the ultimate goal being to die lucidly. The same "clear light" experience occurs with yawning, falling asleep, and orgasm. Sneezing is sometimes referred to as the orgasm of the nose and it is quite a popular sexual fetish.

POPSSneeze kills man 'I can only image the sneeze combined with the Warfarin could have been the cause of death.' Dr John Bridger, who performed the post mortem, said no 'underlying trauma' or skull fractures was found. Coroner for Torbay and South Devon Ian Arrow said John died of subdural haematoma - trauma to the brain - and coronary artery disease. Retuning a verdict of accidental death, he said: 'The presence of Warfarin means the body is more susceptible to bleeding which means it could have been a minor trauma which lead to his death. 'He would have suffered a minor trauma and on the balance of probably it was likely it was the sneeze which lead to his death.'

POPSWho is the enemy? The best phrase came from a taxi driver in Cairo, right after the invasion of Iraq three years ago, who upon finding out that my brother was half Iraqi and half American said, "Ahhh ... is funny. Your country is attacking your country."

POPSUS Government Makes Avian Flu Fun! While very cute and well-done, the graphics for the government's new Avian Influenza awareness campaign don't exactly scream "serious". (Though that chicken with the telescope looks like he means business! Watch out, bird flu!) It's not often clipping a .gov site is this much fun.

POPSWhy we say "God Bless You" I've always wondered why people say "God bless you." But when I found this I wasn't actually looking for this answer. I was looking for a possible reason why my dog always sneezes on me or to me. Mind you, he only does this to me, no one else in my family. So, if anyone has an answer to my other sneezing question, please tell me!

POPSThe WHO's Overblown "Pandemic", Common Cold Worse With only 29,000 cases globally this refutes WHO's declaration of Swine Flu "pandemic", level 6, which has the potential of triggering draconian governmental powers. The Common Cold is an "unstoppable virus" with 1 billion cases annually--in the U.S. alone, has no "cure" or "vaccine", and is not a "pandemic"! The definition of "pandemic" is being abused. Where is the outcry of physicians against this! Tired of this propaganda.
