I have more than one cat. 5. I have a dog too! 6. I grew up very, very, poor, but I have money now-- money doesn't make you happy--but it does pay the bills :) 7. Blogger Chiefio (http://bit.ly/5qX1Uk) has discovered more evidence that the data file I have been using to demonstrate the raw CRU shows little to no global warming in the last half century is in fact raw CRU data runs: Tom, If you look on Climate Audit you will see that I’m all over it! Our ftp site is regularly trawled as I guess yours is. It seems that a Canadian along with two Americans copied some files we put there for MOHC in early 2003. So saying they have the CRU data is not quite correct. What they have is our raw data for CRUTEM2 which went into Jones and Moberg (2003) " data through end of 2002. POPSClimategate Code Reveals East Anglia’s ‘Fudge Factor’ The Climate Scientists at the Hadley CRU may be able to finesse terms of art like “trick” and “hide the decline”, but I’d sure hate to be the guy that had to explain what the programmer’s comments in the following snippet of code really mean, under oath. Suffice it to say, that if such a “correction” were to be applied to random, trendless data, it would make them skew upward in the last 25 to 50 years, in a shape that might be said to resemble a ski slope, or even …. a hockey stick! What’s lacking here is a direct tie between this programming routine and the so-called “value-added” data used by the IPCC. If the raw data indeed no longer exists, it may be difficult to establish a connection. I’ll leave it to the real engineers and computer experts to sort this out. I’m a technical manager, so my job is to have a highly developed bullcrap detector. And, right now, my AGW bullcrap meter is pegging on ManBearPig.
