POPSThe Advocate Comes Out of the Closet The Advocate started out 40 years ago as a pretty sleazy affair that not only contained some news of interest to the community but also published some of the most graphic and some considered revolting personal ads one could imagine. Then they split the classifieds into a separate publication and started actually concentrating on real news. They began receiving international awards for their work, and today they are the preeminent news source for the LGBT community and its friends. I have followed the Advocate over all its years of existence and I am proud of their accomplishments and I continue to be a loyal subscriber all these years. I applaud the new truth in mailing policy.

Very interesting negative review... "Second Life’ is praised as one of the ‘new chances to life your live’ like you want it to, but this seems unreal for the following reasons: 1. I don’t like a world with Smurfs 2. I don’t want to live in a world with goddamn zebras talking to me 3. Second Life is already commercialized, at two different spots a person was offering ‘free ipods’ if you’d click on his shinny backpack. 4. Second Life features a world which is empty, or at least not really populated. 5. Second Life features cheap adult material, sleazy hookers and strippers. If one wants porn, simply fire up google and look for it. 6. Second Life makes it rather impossible to earn money big style, exceptions are rare. Why would you earn more in an E-True cybergame then at McDonalds around the corner? 7. Why can these people fly? 8. Weapons welcome in Second Life, so at least, was my impression. They can either be bought in arms shops or created using the ‘no limitations create

Oh, and the fact that there isn’t anything as absurdly segregationist and just plain absurd as a Congressional White Caucus. ________ With the possible exception of Rep. John Culberson (R-TX), Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), Sen. Jim Demint (R-SC), and Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CN) — I think we should expel every other member of Congress and start over with people of honest and integrity…but more than that, people who don’t think my money is their money. Leaders committed to truly small and limited government. Sadly, our country is headed in exactly the opposite direction.

POPSSpitzer, how can you do this to me? I have such high hopes for Elliot Spitzer as governor of New York. I have been following his career for years, and I've always been extremely impressed with his fairness, motivations and honesty. This latest news is very disheartening. I am going to have to find out more about this matter, and also hope that nothing like this repeats itself in the next 4 years. I am so tired of politicians lying and disappointing the voters. I suppose though, that this is an age old lament.

This is not news to conservatives who have been saying this about the Hill-Billies since the 1990’s. However, Tuesday night marked a watershed. On national television, leading Democrats agreed. John Edwards and Barack Obama unequivocally stated that Hillary does not say the truth, nor is she consistent in her views and as a result is not presidential material. All the candidates at one point or another indicated that her responses were either deliberately confusing or completely contradictory. It is well known that Democrat leaders dislike the Clintons and recognize they behave in a repugnant and sleazy manner when they are in office: their flagrant disrespect for the law, their use of thuggish tactics and their failure to uphold even the most basic standards of public decency (like don’t have oral sex at work) repulse even Democrats. If Hillary fumbles and appears increasingly unable to win in a national election, Democrats will turn on her as quickly as Bill dumps his mistresses

But when I hear Tom Delay saying he gave up his seat in the House of Representatives for Israel, it makes my skin crawl. This sleazy, indicted criminal left the House in disgrace. He cares about nothing but his own self-interest, and if boosting the cause of Israel advances that agenda, he'll shamelessly use it.
