POPSLieberman Refuses to Ignore the Obvious Why was this man *ever* on the ticket with Al Gore??? FTA: "why it is that eight years after 9/11, Hasan’s behavior did not set off alarm bells?" Complacency and PC. As I've said in other clips, freedom of Religion is a foundational stone of our Constitution. Freedom of Speech is also. However, if it quacks like a duck...it might be a duck and it's those who are in authority who are responsible to discern.

POPSMajor Malik Nadal Hasan.......But First A “Shout Out” to Obama’s Bud No reason I can’t go golfing, shoot some hoops, and hit the town with Michelle. President Bush used to break into tears when addressing soldiers and was reviled as a stone-hearted warmonger; Donald Rumsfeld was demonized for using a machine to sign notification letters to fallen soldiers’s next-of-kin. President Obama gives out rounds of virtual fist-bumps to his buds before even mentioning a slaughter of American soldiers, perpetrated by Americans, in mid-America. We desperately need an adult in the White House. Sadly, today’s press conference proves we do not have one. (Incidentally, the shooter " who killed 12 people with two handguns " is reportedly an adherent of the Religion of Peace who was incensed about being sent to war.)

POPSThe Slaughter of Kathryn, Connor and Cameron Maxwell You can prevent a tragedy if you are willing to acknowledge that family homicide and domestic violence are real crimes. Learn the signs of trouble, abuse, stalking, domestic violence, get involved by holding community informational gatherings, post the information in the schools, business and places of worship. If you begin a dialogue you just might be surprised at how many lives will be saved in the process.

POPSFox TV - No Shame for Beck Trivializing Holocaust People have been making money by the sack full and gaining power and recognition for generations preaching about who listeners should hate, fear, outlaw, lynch, beat to death. Hitler and Stalin have been joined by Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs and many wannabe head haters - including an ex-governor. In a market-driven economy what's one of the best ways to respond? For me it is to let Fox and CNN know, I am not watching until things change and and recommending the same to others. No Fox, No CNN. No advertising on Fox or CNN. Will they miss me - grin? Only if several hundred thousand join with me in skipping their favorite shows on Fox and CNN. I managed to quit smoking after forty years - cold turkey - so I think I can manage without my local or national Fox, or even the shows I like on CNN until they change. How about you?

POPSBan Canadian Imports of Dog and Cat Fur The United States and the European Union already prohibit the import of dog and cat fur. Now it's time for Canada to follow suit! Tell Prime Minister Harper and Agriculture Minister Ritz that you do not support the import of cat and dog fur - or the commercial seal slaughter.

POPSRadovan Karadzic Signatory to Polanski Petition Perhaps there's another Radovan Karadzic, working in some obscure corner of the film industry as a gaffer, key grip or best boy. Perhaps he's toiling away at an unfinished screenplay. Makes me wonder about the other signatories. Is this list "Hollywood?"

POPSAmerican Troops in Afghanistan [PICS FROM OCT 2009] So there ya have it folks. American troops, helping the kids, bandaging their feet, reassuring them....in photos......oh wait, excuse me....this is called "celebrating slaughter......"....my bad. If you're dumb enough to believe our Americans are in Afghanistan, "celebrating slaughter," then not only are you out of your evil minds, but you can suck it.

POPSKangaroos Shot To Make Way for Car Race!! It seems that our wildlife is held in lower regard than 4 wheels attached to a heap of metal. Shame on our government for allowing National Parks & Wildlife to kill our native animals.

POPSJapanese Town Starts Dolphin Hunt Under Global Spotlight
The film shows angry confrontations between residents and the lead activist, Ric O'Barry, who in the 1960s trained dolphins for the US hit television show "Flipper" but now argues the animals should be free to roam the oceans. The film won numerous international prizes, including the Sundance Festival's audience award, and last month led the Australian city of Broome to announce it would cancel it sister-city relationship with Taiji. "Dolphins are a large-brain creature," O'Barry, 69, told AFP during a recent return visit to Japan. "They are highly intelligent, they are self-aware, like gorillas and humans. I nursed them, I watched them give birth. "And for me, to kill them, is extremely, extremely..." He paused, then simply added: "I don't see the purpose." In Taiji, where about 3,700 people live, the global uproar stirred by "The Cove" has met with equal incomprehension -- and anger. Amid the raging controversy, Taiji's fishermen started their annual hunt Wednesday, catc

POPS Is Obamacare Constitutional? “The Tenthers.” I recently started seeing a few references to this term in the standard places, Alternet, ThinkProgress, and elsewhere. But now it seems to have come from on high like the NeoCons did with every new buzzword during the Bush years. In fact, its usage has come on so fast and so regularly that someone over at the Washington Times picked up on the newly-approved jargon: Health care reform supporters at the Center for American Progress, the American Prospect, MSNBC and other outlets have deployed the term against Republicans who cite the 10th Amendment as reason not to create new programs. Some of the leading Republican proponents of the allegedly “dangerous” and “conspiratorial” theory include Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma and Jim DeMint of South Carolina, and Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota. “As the nation emerges from the worst economic downturn in three generations, the tenthers would strip away the very reforms and economic

POPSGood news in Taiji btw... john lilly, psychopharmacologist turned LSD-prophet who went into exile and became the founder of inter-species communications and was the focus of the 70s movie, 'day of the dolphin.' in his fabulously important late 1960s book, 'metaprogramming the human biocomputer,' he posed a thesis which has been largely accepted by the biological sciences community. called 'the 9 configurations,' he showed that the 1st config is a single-celled organism with a single command in its program and no way to change. as we come up the ladder to evermore complex organisms, we reach creatures; then creatures which can learn; then we arrive at the 9th configuration, including man, which can not only learn how to learn BUT CAN CHANGE THEIR PROGRAM, not only as a group but as individuals. lilly believed, as i and many others, that psychedelic agents can play a crucial role in the process of seeing and changing the buggy programs.

POPSHas Japan's Dolphin Slaughter Been Prevented?
Today, the dolphin slaughter was set to begin in Taiji, but the tides there may have changed. Here's a dispatch from O'Barry who has just returned to Japan for the start of the killing season: When I got off the bus at the Cove this afternoon, I was accompanied by my son Lincoln O'Barry's film crew, a crew from Associated Press, Der Spiegel (the largest magazine in Germany), and the London Independent. No dolphins and no dolphin killers. We would not have had a story at all, except for the police who were there, waiting all day for us to appear. Nine policemen came to talk to us... And as I was talking with the police, as the international journalists stood around listening, suddenly a camera crew arrived from Japan! And then another! And then still another! You have to understand that this is SO IMPORTANT. These TV stations have REFUSED to cover the story in Taiji for years and years. NOW, for the first time, they have shown up, with cameras rolling. T

POPSBeef recall after cow abuse investigation This story and the one below about fluffy chicks being ground up alive makes me feel ashamed to be part of the human race. How anyone could sit down to a leg of lamb knowing that a gentle creature had to suffer and be deprived of its life merely to satisfy 5 minutes of a human desire to eat flesh is beyond me. "Man in his arrogance thinks himself a great work. More humble, and I believe true, to consider himself created from animals." Charles Darwin.

POPSDolphin Murdered by thousands Animal cruelty is animal cruelty, just as cruelty to people is cruelty to people. Some would exclude banning or protesting certain human practices out of respect to cultural difference. My answer is although some sub-cultures still believe it is ok to enslave others, or that forcing sex on women and children or permissible - the global culture will no longer tolerate such practices. Killing, slaughtering dolphins just because you can and have done so is no longer acceptable global behavior!

POPSDolphin cull sparks flood of hate mail Americans ( a few only) don't like Aussies culling camels and the Russians are against eating kangaroos. We don't like dolphin culling. True hypocrisy at it's best. (Since when was one animal better than another ( apart from comparing beef with possum, as food )

POPSThe Great Office War: Best Use of Nerf Guns Ever One quiet afternoon was broken by the incessant ball-point pen clicking of a blue tie warrior. The red ties had finally had enough and a call to arms went out. There was carnage everywhere, no lives were spared. Oh, the humanity. Was there never to be an end to the wanton nerfing? Was all of mankind to perish from this senseless slaughter? But, alas, the clock finally struck 5. It ended as suddenly as it began. All quiet on the office front. All was forgiven, peace ruled the cubicles. They each retreated into their private lives, to no doubt plan for another battle.

POPSTerror from the Right: 75 Plots, Conspiracies and Racist Rampages Since Oklahoma City From the article: “. . .a detailed listing of major terrorist plots and racist rampages that have emerged from the American radical right in the years since Oklahoma City.” This is part of a report released by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which, in the past has been found to stretch the truth a bit to fit their own agenda. So take this with a grain of salt. That is not to say these attacks, etc, did not occur, I personally don’t believe that they are all the work of the radical right. I mean there are a lot of nutcases on the left too. Anyway, it serves more as a modern day history lesson on how extremist operate in this country. Thank God most of them were too stupid and inept to pull off their little rampages of hate.

POPSThe hidden cost of Afghanistan Hospital figures are quoted as British casualties on over 100 per week. Stop playing games, Mr Brown and stop this insidious slaughter of British youth. The long term injuries are never adequately dealt with and a few years after your successor takes office, all your mealy mouthed assurances will have been forgotten. Does anyone remember the victims of the Abercorn bombing, the Enniskillen murders or the thousands of injured in the politically lost war against the Ira?
