POPSForty-Eight Years Of Indoctrination "Probably the last thing I ever expected to hear my daughter say was "I'm a lesbian." Marcie is tall, slim, very feminine-looking, with long, wavy blond hair. Makeup and clothes are important to her; she's had boyfriends since the day she was in third grade when she came home and announced that she was in love. She is anything but what I thought of as a "dyke." They had a right to their own lifestyle--just don't make me a witness to it. Maybe they weren't all "weirdos"--but just keep them out of my face. After a lifetime of learning that homosexuality was "perverted," "weird," "unnatural," "sick," against all that God or anyone else prescribed, was I too set in my beliefs, too brainwashed to ever--honestly, sincerely, to the core of my being--accept the concept? At 48 years of age, I was about to find out."

POPSMore Details Released On Sparkman Lynching Poor guy, what he must have gone through before he died..... And all for a temp job to make a few bucks. Sick, twisted, nauseating. All those media mouths that convince the unbalanced that they would be heroes for doing what was done to this guy, have a lot to answer for. And I'll bet they're pretty proud of their power to instigate cruelty and murder. What courageous patriots they are. What a flagrant display of contempt for the responsibility of bringing information to the people. Yep, they really showed Sparkman, the government and the rest of the world exactly what they stand for.

POPSKucinich: Why I voted NO I'm so torn. I think we should have fought harder for a single-payer bill, even though I know that would have been a much harder battle. But I don't think that voting no on this was the solution, either. As much as I would like BIG CHANGE, I know that can't happen in one fell swoop. Baby steps, unfortunately, will get us to that final goal. Hopefully, the public will realize, soon, that we need single payer!

POPSRight Christians vs. Wrong Christians Friends, I can't even go on here. Look at my face, see how flushed I am? You get me going on about the Catholics and I'm likely to have a heart attack. I just thank God that everything our youngsters know about the Catholic Church is what they've been hearing on TV. Most of our Truly Saved® Christian children are so terrified of priests that they can't even sleep at night. Let's open our hymnals to page 217 - Just As I Am, singing from the second stanza. . . "Just as I am. . ." Truly Saved® Christians The content of the clip was written by a pastor! *Real* Christians of course have a registered trademark and a $750 million budget. If anyone can spot the teachings of Christ anywhere in this "sermon", would you please point them out to me? I seem to be temporarily blinded by the hypocrisy of it all. But let's open up youtube and have a little sing-a-long, shall we? Praise the Lord. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugZq9hiuCJo

POPSThe Berlin Wall's Fall [MUSIC VID - TAYLOR SWIFT]
♫ And it's a sad picture, the final blow hits you Somebody else gets what you wanted again You know it's all the same, another time and place Repeating history and you?re getting sick of it But I believe in whatever you do And I'll do anything to see it through Because these things will change, can you feel it now? These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down It's a revolution, the time will come for us to finally win We'll sing hallelujah! We'll sing hallelujah! Oh So we've been outnumbered, raided and now cornered It's hard to fight when the fight ain't fair We're getting stronger now from things they never found They might be bigger but we're faster and never scared You can walk away and say we don't need this But there's something in your eyes says we can beat this 'Cause these things will change, can you feel it now? These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down It's a revolution, the time will come for us to finally win

POPSFlu zombies reported in Mexico City The flu zombies first appeared saturday night as the city sewer system failed and manhole covers were seen being shoved aside. The 'walking dead' have been impossible to negotiate with simply because they're dead, but Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has sent a forward team to attempt negotiations as early as Wednesday. Sporadic gunfire could be head as Mexico's Head of National Security urged people in a televised address 'to remain calm and eat an enchillata.' Attempts to bribe the zombies reportedly failed when Treasury Secretary Juan Corona attempted to meet with the zombies and was promptly eaten.

POPSUS Amy suspect in mass murder Maybe I am naive but does not the first sentence of the Times report ask more questions of multi-nationalism than the wish to prove it works. Daydreaming always ends in disater. Now Let's get real. As a former regular soldier I am sick and tired of listening to the cowering comments of those not prepared to defend their wn country. As in Britain, if all these immigrants really want to do something positive for their adopted country, go back to your own country. Enoch Powell warned of this over half a century ago, and was castigated as a prime racist. How right he has been proven. My sincerest best wishes to the American people and all the victims of this heinous crime.

POPSPot Paradise "Jacqueline Patterson, 31, uses marijuana to treat her cerebral palsy and a severe stutter. She fears she would be booted from the program if she tried to grow dope at home or buy it from street dealers. The upshot, critics say, is that a law crafted to help sick people has morphed into a lucrative trade, one in which rural farms are supplying urban dispensaries that cater to mostly recreational users armed with doctors' recommendation"

POPSThe Root of Much of What Ails Our Health-Care System ~ “Third-Party-Payer Problem”
to create impenetrable bureaucratic barriers between you and their money. There’s a reason why claims forms are so complicated.... There is much to lament about that system, and real reform is needed. A meaningful body of reforms would do three things: 1) establish a real market for health-care services and health insurance, one that is fiercely competitive and driven by consumers who are not beholden to their employers, the government, or any concern other than their own needs; 2) take intelligent steps to reduce the expense of health care and health insurance, and the bureaucracy attached to them; 3) offer intelligently designed support for the poor, the sick, and other vulnerable participants in the market. Here are ten things that would go a long way toward getting that done: 1) Insurance Choice. 2) Real Competition: A National Market for Health Insurance. 3) Price Transparency. 4) High Ceilings for HSAs (and No Taxes). 5) Insurance on Your Insuran

POPSFood Critic Murders Baboon: Needed Fodder for His Column?! While admitting there was no good excuse for his action, he nonetheless tries to explain: "I noticed that, when it was alive, I thought about the baboon as a thing. Now he’s dead, I’m posthumously anthropomorphising him, and that was one of the reasons I killed. I wanted to get a sense of what it might be like to kill someone, a stranger." Stop. Breathe. I note my first reaction: Excruciating execution for this guy, preferably slowly bleeding to death in front of his buddies, sounds like a good idea. Exhale. Pause. Next reaction: What the heck was he thinking? What sick person would find it perfectly acceptable to write about his urge to explore killing primates in a food column? Is he so disengaged from life and his place in it that he thinks this is witty? Educational? Cool?

POPSObama's big change: He moves America to the Right Maybe this is why Glenn Beck thought it was better that Obama got elected over McCain. McCain may have continued to "blur the lines" but with Obama in office, the difference in ideology of the Republicans is Stark and Bold... Let's hope Republicans and Conservative Independents can capitalize on it.

POPSFlu Symptoms: What You Might Feel ... and just plain feeling sick. Swine flu may also cause vomiting and diarrhea. These flu symptoms usually last for 3 to 4 days, but cough and tiredness may linger for up to 2 weeks after the fever has gone away. Other family members or close contacts often have a similar illness. For in-depth information, see WebMD's Children and Flu. Children and Flu Some parents think the flu is a stomach bug. Enlarge Sandy the puppy who was killed by a group of yobs 'She wandered over to three boys wagging her tail and one of them just put his foot out and trampled on her head. 'She was very well behaved and one of those things you can't replace. I am very angry.' Her mother, Loretta, 45, heard April screaming and crying after the incident and found her sitting on the kerb sobbing. She said: 'It is unbelievable. How could someone do something like that?' Grandmother Norma Peachey, 72, from Cherry Hinton, Cambridge, added: 'It is despicable. Sandy was such a little dear - so tiny she could have fitted in a coffee cup.'

POPSPrudence the porker thinks she's a dog She loves to play with the dogs when she's not foraging for acorns and hazelnuts. She jumps around and chases sticks just like they do. POPS15-Year-Old Boy Set On Fire Investigators said one of the teens doused Brewer with rubbing alcohol and Mendez flicked a lighter at him in retaliation for reporting an attempted bicycle theft Sunday night. "This group of kids thought that because the kid may have snitched him out and turned him in because they were trying to steal his dad's bike, they felt, in their mind, it was OK to set him on fire," Sheriff Al Lamberti said. Detectives said Brewer skipped school and went to the apartment complex to visit a friend at the time of the attack. "A couple of them last night were laughing about it," Sgt. Steve Feeley said of the suspects. So often we are pointing fingers at the horrors that people do to one another in other countries, before we do that we should ask ourselves what is going wrong in our own! This is just plain sick, and very sad. News video at source.
