POPSBin Laden threatens to bomb Switzerland He attempted to persuade Swiss mountain cows coming off of the mountains, mentioning cows are, "holy creatures and guided by Allah and Hindu's" (what the f**k have Hindu's in common with Muslims?) and they could be used as suicide bombers, especially as no-one would search their cow-bells (perfect place to hide his bombs). Not such a brilliant idea so he's decided to clone his suicide-bombers into Roger Federer look-alikes (dark and swarthy our Roger!) infiltrate Switzerland, bomb the crap out of the place and teach the Swiss a lesson or two in Minaret building! Only place his Roger Federer clones are not allowed to bomb is the Swiss National Bank, Bin Laden has personal interests there, his multi-millions + that other interest!!!!

POPSTheir Goals Where in the HELL was the outrage of these IDIOTS when George W. Bush dragged the rest of the country--not so much kicking and screaming--as shocked and awed into a mountain of federal debt and it's failure to respond to the worst natural disaster in US history???? I'll tell ya where--right there behind him every step of the way supporting his RICH lode of corruption, contempt for law, reckless disregard for national security, blundering of foreign policy, SLEAZE, and stupidity. Not to mention their savagery toward any critic and ferocious partisanship. Our short national attention span is their best friend. Well, guess what? I didn't buy what they were selling the first time and I don't feel sorry for the poor demented souls who spent their cash making Sarah smile.

POPSThankfulness Tree This is the second year we have had a Thankfulness Tree. I have some fake branches that I put in a big vase to hold the leaves. I went to a scrapbooking store and used their die cut machine to make many many leaves from paper. If you buy the paper there, you can use the machines for free. I punched holes in the leaves to hang on the branches without having to mess with string or glue or hangers of any sort. I place the leaves in a bowl with a pen so any guests that come during November can write something they are thankful for on a leaf and hang it up. On Thanksgiving we read the leaves and we give thanks for all the friends and family that have come to our house. Then I put the leaves in a bag and date it so we can read them in future years too. Yesterday, my daughter wrote that she was thankful for "being born" and for "being in this family." I am so thankful for those things too. Go, get your thankfulness on!

POPSMetaphors We Live By A short step whence to seeing all language as metaphor and metaphor as the meeting of the body and consciousness. Hard to stomach for right-angled rationalists, those who carry tablets of stone truths, number crunchers and those who live in a bricked-up mind. Spot the metaphors.

POPSIt's Useful To Be Smart "With their attention to colors, patterns and shapes and their ability to learn about new forms, one wonders how much these creatures can learn and what limitations they might have. They couldn’t read Dr. Seuss, of course, but they might enjoy looking at the pictures."
