POPSPelosi rants. Announcing the Democrats' bold new "plan" on energy last week, Pelosi said breaking into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve "is one alternative." That's not an energy plan. It's using what we already have -- much like "conservation," which is also part of the Democrats' plan. Conservation, efficiency and using oil we hold in reserve for emergencies does not get us more energy. It's as if we were running out of food and the Democrats were telling us: "Just eat a little less every day." Great! We'll die a little more slowly. That's not what we call a "plan." We need more energy, not a plan for a slower death.

POPSMore sex is safer sex ..So at the end of the decade, we have a lot more premarital sex and not all that much condom use with girlfriends. But now that these young, cash-strapped guys can have sex without paying, they've stopped handing over cash for sex. By the end of the 1990s, only 7 percent of young men were paying for sex, and HIV prevalence in sex workers had come down too. ....In short, more women having premarital sex equals less HIV.

POPSFat people next on the list........ Moonbattery.com: Environmentalists frequently scream that there are too many people on the planet, implying some will have to go. We already knows who goes last (environmentalists), but who goes first? LiveScience has the answer: overweight Americans. n the United States, obesity is at an all-time high; two-thirds of adults in the Land of Plenty are overweight or obese. Obesity is perhaps the ultimate symbol of resource consumption; it's visible proof that overweight people already has more than they need — and take more anyway. Overweight people create more air pollution than thin people do. It's simple physics: Extra pounds translate into extra fuel in automobiles and airplanes. Extra fuel means increased energy usage, oil drilling, and air pollution. (Plus you can get more soap and lampshades out of overweight people.)

POPSAl Gore Is Bad For The Planet
Iain Murray's rollicking exposé of environmental blowhards who waste more energy, endanger more species, and actually kill more people, than the environmental villains they finger. Did you know that estrogen from birth control and"morning after" pills is causing male fish across America to develop female sex organs? Funny how "pro-choice" and "environmentalist" liberals never talk about that. Or how about this: the Live Earth concert to "save the planet" released more CO2 into the atmosphere than a fleet of 2,000 Humvees emit in a year? We hear a lot about AIDS in Africa, but the number one killer of children in much of Africa is malaria-and guess who was responsible for banning the pesticide that used to have malaria under control? Iain Murray, a sprightly conservative environmental analyst with a long record of skewering liberal hypocrisy, has dug up seven of the environmental catastrophes caused by the Left and exposed them in The Really Inconvenient Truths.

POPSSugary Breakfasts Boost Boy Births I thought the idea that you could do anything to influence the sex of your child was just a myth. But AFP is reporting on a study today that shows women on low-energy diets are more likely to give birth to girls. Want a boy? Eat at least one bowl of breakfast cereal a week, as well as a wide range of nutrients, according to researchers from the University of Exeter in Britain. I'm very curious about just how big a role diet can play here. Anybody have any anecdotal evidence that supports or shoots down this theory? Do you think women will really start eating more cereal just to up their odds of having a boy?

POPSTantra and Kama Sutra Sex Positions -"Sexual Fire Breath"
Sexual Fire Breath * Lie on your back. Feet flat on the floor/bed. Knees bent. Legs comfortably apart. Hands at your sides, palms up. Eyes closed. * Begin to breathe slowly and deeply into your belly. * Focus your attention on your genitals and visualize drawing breath in and out through them. * When you have a comfortable breathing rhythm established, begin to rock your pelvis, tilting it up toward the sky. Use your feet to slightly push off the floor so that you are not using your abdominal muscles to rock and they can remain loose and open. * Inhale as you rock back. Exhale as you rock forward. (Note: some bodies want to do it the opposite way – listen to yours and go with what feels right). * Make sound as you exhale – AAAAAHHHH. (This is the most difficult part for many people but it helps enormously, sound carries the energy). * When you are in a comfortable rhythm, add PC Pumping. Tighten your PC muscles as you rock back. Relax th

POPSLive Longer: SEX EVERYDAY - Medical Reasons
"Sex is a vigorous form of exercise," says Dr. Michael Cirigliano of the University of Pennsylvania. "The physiological changes in your body are consistent with a normal workout. Your heart and respiratory rates rise, and you burn calories." "You’re releasing endogenous opioids. They’re like drugs, but they’re manufactured internally," says Dr. Alice Ladas, a psychologist and one of the authors of The G Spot "Pain threshold in women is elevated 60 to 80 percent during pleasurable stimulation," explains Dr. Beverly Whipple, a professor of neuroscience and president of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. "In the midst of orgasm," Ogden noted, "she apparently feels no pain." "Sexual activity helps strengthen the pubococcygeus muscles (PC muscles), which in turn help keep the pelvic organs in shape and where they belong," explains Dr. Ladas. "The more you train the coordination between nerve and muscle, the easier it is to perform," Dr. Andre G
