POPSAdd some magic to your girl's room ACK! I am so excited to find this idea. I love twinkle lights and tulle. This is a really cheap way to make things magical. If you plug the lights into a remote-controlled outlet, your child can turn the lights on and off herself safely. Can you imagine sleeping under the stars like this? Sweet dreams.

POPSIt's a 12-day miracle! Praise Obama & pass the Hopium Quite humorous really. "The president picked the Steelers in the Super Bowl. They won. He submitted an $885 billion stimulus plan to Congress. The money was printed. He nominated a tax cheat for secretary of the Treasury. The tax cheat was confirmed."

POPSRussia Scraps Missile Deployment Missile plans are certainly being moved around the war rooms of major powers. This step back from Bush era policies of aggression on the Russian border was a brave and wise decision.

POPSAfrican kin seek help, but Obama offers no special aid or access "But in Kenya, where politicians are often judged by how much financial help they funnel to family and tribe, the lack of cash donations from the president has caused some consternation." I wouldn't expect Obama to do anything near what Bush did for Africa by saving over a million lives dying from HIV related illnesses, but c'mon Obama, throw your family a few scraps to eat and move your brother out of that straw hut.

POPSJust Like in the Movies: Car Flies Into House The only individual home in the house was asleep on the couch and was not injured. The passenger was able to walk away from the wreck as well without injury. Only the driver was physically injured with small injuries to report. It is by far the home that has suffered the worst from the ordeal. With a gaping hole torn all the way down the front of the house, the house will be sorely out of commission for some time. Images of the scene show scraps of wood surrounding the Jeep as it sits nicely in the foyer. Art still hangs on the wall along the interior clearly visible from the street. The large home is almost ripped in half by the vehicle.

POPSThumb novels: Mobile phone fiction more (at source): Astronomically popular, "thumb novels" are much decried as trash for yahori ("slow learners"). But over the past few years this trashy subculture has stormed Japanese commercial book publishing. In 2007 – keitai shosetsu's annus mirabilis – half of the top 10 fiction bestsellers in the shrinking Japanese book market originated on cellphones. Last autumn, a literary grandee joined in. Jakucho Setouchi, the Marguerite Duras of Japan, revealed herself as "Purple", the author of a keitai shosetsu about a teen's search for love entitled Tomorrow's Rainbow. Setouchi is also a celebrated 86-year-old Buddhist nun who wrote a contemporary update of The Tales of Genji, Japan's racy classic.

POPSCongress exempts itself from government-run socialized medicine! Under the current draft of the Democrat healthcare legislation, members of Congress are curiously exempt from the government-run health care option, keeping their existing health plans and services on Capitol Hill. If Members of Congress believe so strongly that government-run health care is the best solution for hard working American families, I think it only fitting that Americans see them lead the way. Public servants should always be accountable and responsible for what they are advocating, and I challenge the American people to demand this from their representatives.” You may read the Congressman’s entire statement HERE. Wake up, America, they’re about to do it to you again!

POPSPictures inside the mouths of sharks at feeding time You don't want to be here. 'We tie fish scraps onto fishing lines (no hooks) and bait lemon sharks in as close as possible. 'When one opens its mouth to "snap" at the fish, I take the shot. These snaps literally last a fraction of a second, so timing is critical. 'Recently, the technique has been changed. These days, all surface shots of lemon sharks are done via "polecam", with cameras mounted at the end of long poles. 'This prevents any possible accident.' In October, Eric be travelling to Japan on an expedition to photograph sperm whales (assuming he is still alive).

POPSIt's here... The military industrial complex is already here: in spades. I spent most of the 80's and 90's working on (some high profile) space systems... While some have finally made it to orbit, others are still around -- unlaunched, but milking the government for 100's of millions. Large defense companies are parasites on our economy and society.
