Fishing Cat Would Rather be Fishing in Sri Lanka
clip-on-tie
by clip-on-tie  Today 11:44 AM    2
According to wikipidiot: "The Fishing Cat (Prionailurus viverrinus) is a medium-sized cat whose disjunct global range extends from eastern Pakistan through portions of India, Nepal and Sri Lanka, throughout Bangladesh and Mainland Southeast Asia to Sumatra and Java. Its fur has an olive-grey color with dark spots arranged stripe-like running along the length of the body. The face has a distinctly flat-nosed appearance. The size varies between locations. While Indian specimens grow to 80 cm (32 in) plus 30 cm (12 in) tail, Indonesian fishing cats only reach 65 cm (26 in) plus 25 cm (10 in) tail. Indian individuals weigh up to 11.7 kg (26 lbs), while in Indonesia adult fishing cats weigh in at up to approximately 6 kg (13 lbs). They are stocky of build with medium short legs, and a short muscular tail of one half to one third of the length of the rest of the animal. Like its closest relative, the Leopard Cat, the Fishing Cat lives along rivers, brooks and mangrove swamps.

The Clinton-Obama “feud” Growing?
merrie
by merrie  Today 1:10 AM    1
The White House has played an active role in clearing the field for Gillibrand, who was appointed earlier this year to fill the seat vacated when Obama tapped Hillary Rodham Clinton to be his secretary of state. Obama asked Rep. Steve Israel not to challenge Gillibrand, a request he honored. Just days ago, Vice President Joe Biden called Maloney to discuss the race, a clear sign that the White House didn’t want a primary fight next year. The Clinton-Obama relationship has always been strained, ever since Obama overtook Hillary in her bid for a history and a return to the White House. Obama appointed her as Secretary of State for his own political needs, not out of any sense of expertise on Hillary’s part for diplomacy. It took her almost no time to demonstrate that herself, with unforced errors like proclaiming her complete bemusement on multi-party democracy and the “reset” button she presented Sergei Lavrov that was mistranslated " and not in Cyrillic script, eith

though i used the same headline as the article, i do not agree to it. Evolution is not equal to religion and they are merely two different perspectives of the same reality. Each one portrays a different worldview, a different world, a different view. the direction in religion is one of preservation, maintaining the existing order as it , whilst in evolution the dynamics are in constant motion of exploring new orders which by nature are transitory.

Volcano Could Create Dramatic Sunsets
kkcapricorn
by kkcapricorn  6-28-2009    2
On June 22nd, photographer Brian Whittaker was flying 35,000 feet above Nunavut, Canada, when he witnessed "the most spectacular sunset that I have ever seen," he says. "The giant volcanic cloud from Russia's Sarychev Peak was illuminated by the arctic sun--and this completely transformed the landscape. For a moment, I thought I was on Mars." "All the curtains were drawn so that people could sleep which is very normal," notes Whittaker. "It is possible that very few people have seen this despite all the potential observers!" Whittaker's airplane traveled all the way from British Columbia to Europe, so he got a good long look at the cloud. "It stretched for more than 4000 kilometers.

Comet or Meteor, but not a meteorite! Ok, at least they aren't hinting at a nuclear weapon this time....Comet's traditionally are known to be a "Big Ball of Ice and Rocks"...easier to be vaporized and leave little residue, I reckon! Was there any evidence of Iridium from this particular extraplanetary deposit in 1908??

Crop Circles Mystify Russian Farmers

Ooooh! I love stuff like this. .:p From a Danish source , this can be added: Before the event, glowing balls were seen in the sky around 1:15 AM and animals had acted strangely. Dogs, cows and frogs all became silent in a 20-30 km radius of the site. Problems starting cars, using cellphones and digital cameras were also reported. Helicopters were filming and combing the area. A few days prior, eight crop circles had appeared near the Dinskij district. An area near the the town of Armanvir was reportedly "glowing". Crop circles have also appeared recently in, among other places, USA, Canada, Spain, Germany and Denmark and reseachers say, they are all connected to each other via parallel lines. Exciting, eh? .:p Clip Song
