POPSGetting a positive outcome Sure, blasting someone in a comment feels good at the time, but what does it do to your reputation? How might it affect your future relationships? How might it prevent a positive outcome in a future interaction?

POPSGore Blames Kings of Leon for Wildfires Not to be outdone, rotund conspiracy theorist Michael Moore added his considerable weight to the debate. "Gore is bat-shit crazy. I can't even take climate change seriously anymore. He needs to take his head out of his ass and smell the roses. There is more to life than climate change. If nothing else Gore should watch my latest documentary, "Is Obama Osama? That's the real question here people".

POPSStaph Infections Can Kill Sorry to have to cut it short (as usual) The part about carriers is basic info though, and obvious enough as to who has consistent skin punctures, but all are not drug users. Landscapers cutting blackberry bushes or even clipping roses can make a way for it to get in. Anyway, the reason I added this clip today is I had a comment on my other clip "Things I Know That You Should Know", and how he believes that bacteria is generally harmless in a bio-war situation. There are countless bacterias out there that could do the job, but I used Staph as an example because almost everyone has heard of it, or has it, or has had one form or another of the blasted stuff. When it is active in the nose it can spread to the brain as well. It has become very resilient to most antibiotics, and it most certainly can be deadly!

POPSSmell the Roses (or Coffee)!
Who hasn't taken a trip down memory lane with a mere whiff of a familiar scent? Whether it's the woodsy smell of some old furniture that reminds you of your wonderful time in grade school, or a particular cologne that fills you with the bittersweet memories of an old lover, scents have a powerful way of stopping us in our tracks and at times filling us up with rather intense emotions--both good or bad. Yes, it's not just the information that we recall with a scent, but more importantly the emotions that go along with the memory. According to the following article, scents go straight to the limbic system in the brain, the very place our emotions are triggered. Is it any wonder why aromatherapy is so effective in calming nerves and revitalizing one's energy? Of course, it helps that when we smell something pleasant, we take in slower, deeper breaths--often the very action that soothes us and clears our mind. So take your time when you wake up tomorrow and smell the rich, texture

POPSGone Are the Days of Wine and Roses Politicians are happy to blame the recession for depriving citizens of programs they have come to expect. The recession didn't create the gap between state government commitments and state government resources. It only exposed it.

POPShouse by the sea - iron and wine There is a house by the sea Two jealous sisters, they're waiting for me And one is laid on the floor And one is changing the locks on the doors And I've been buying the time on my knees And I've been selling their blankets to bleed (on) Around the house by the sea The scent of roses and raspberry leaves And there is smoke in my clothes Too much time with just smoke in my nose And I've been making the meaning they lack And I've been burning that book they come back too There is a house by the sea And an ocean between it and me And like the shape of a wave The jealous sisters will sing on my grave And I've been living to run where they led And I've been dying to rise from their bed And I've been sparing my neck from their chain And they've been changing the sound of my name And I've been swimming to them in my sleep And I've been dreaming our love and our freedom

POPS10 more must-try exotic fruits Rose Apple, also known as Champoo is one of the most interesting exotic fruits on the planet, just for the fact that it smells and tastes a lot like roses. Unfortunately they are rarely found in markets around the world because they spoil very quickly after being picked. The bell-shaped fruits are crisp, crunchy and have a delicious fresh flavor. It can be eaten whole but as with apples, many people prefer to leave the core. Rose Apples are also boiled in hot water to make scented Rose Water.
