POPSDonohue's Knickers Knotted Anew Bill Donohue riles up the wing nuts again. It makes one wonder if he is capable of rational thought at all? Can he discern fact from fiction? Looks like no to all. It's sad that so many sheeple defend this person. IMO, this is parallel to the "war on Christmas" non-event that has become a yearly laughing point. If I was religious, I think I'd be very embarrassed by having this person in such an influential position. Later in the clip Donohue says: "It's not a secret, OK? And I'm not afraid to say it. That's why they hate this movie. It's about Jesus Christ, and it's about truth. It's about the Messiah." He later apologised for his remarks, saying he regretted the use of the word "controlled". :-(

POPSRon Howard: Vatican obstructed 'Angels & Demons' But he said the Vatican nevertheless exerted influence regarding his filming permits, and he was told it would not be possible even to shoot scenes in Rome that had churches in the background. "When you come to film in Rome, the official statement to you is that the Vatican has no influence," he said. "Everything progressed very smoothly, but unofficially a couple of days before we were to start filming in several of our locations, it was explained to us that through back channels and so forth that the Vatican had exerted some influence."

POPSOpus Dei's Box-Office Triumph I thought this too: the very fact that the film is getting such bad press, can only be good for Opus Dei. More's the pity, really, although I'm certainly not Da Vinci/ Brown fan myself.

POPStrying to understand the anti-war movement I'm not sure most of the left, anti Bush and anti War people understand who is pulling their strings. I'm betting they don't really know either. But its way cool to wear a Che Guerra tee-shirt while holding a 'shopped pic of Tony Blair as Hitler, isn't it? Great way to pick up chicks!
