POPSBeatles Not Yet Coming To iTunes? My ex-boss Peter Kafka hears from a source that Apple's press event next week won't include the unveiling of Beatles downloads, appearing to throw cold water on renewed press speculation that the Fab Four have concluded a deal with iTunes. Interesting tidbit about iPhone ringtones too. - Louis Hau

POPSThe "Chicks" Rock The Grammy's I have been a fan of the Dixie Chicks since their hit "Wide Open Spaces". I did not drop my support when Maines put her foot in her mouth. When Clear Channel was promoting Chicks bashing, I still did not falter. When their new record came out, I was one of the first to buy it. I played "Not Ready To Make Nice" loud enough and long enough to possibly annoy my neighbors. In fact, it's my main ringtone on my phone. I am very proud of the Dixie Chicks, today. I think they are good musicians and I am proud that they continued to speak their mind when the rest of the Country community wanted to stone them. I don't need role-models in my old age, but I am proud of their example and I point to that when I talk to my kids about using their voice to speak up against those things that they are against, even when the world is against them.
