Or take marriage. At his Saddleback Church, wifely submission is official doctrine: The church website tells women to defer to their husband's "leadership" even when he's wrong on important issues, such as finances. Never mind if she's an accountant and he flunked long division, or if she wants to beef up the kids' college fund and he wants to buy shares in the Brooklyn Bridge. The godly answer is supposed to be "yes, dear." Is elevating this male chauvinist how President-elect Obama thanks women, who gave him more than half his votes? Obama to women, "Thanks for your vote, here's a kick in the teeth as your reward."

Maybe It WAS Over When The Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor

Noting the date, Dec. 7, which marks the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Wright instead chose to focus on the thousands of Japanese civilians who died four years later when the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. (After church officials turn away reporters, former pastor blasts the media in his sermon) By Manya A. Brachear | Tribune reporter December 8, 2008 http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-wright-08-dec08,0,6598372.story Forget the fact that the Obamas listened to this clown. The exigencies of national politics have rescued them from Wright's silliness. What about all the other people who still do? Was it not the Trib's obligation to point out that they are paying close attention to an idiot? You know, for their own good.

No matter who wins the electoral college, the 2008 presidential election will be a historic one, as the nation will send either an African-American or the oldest first-term president to the White House. A McCain win would also mean the first female vice president in the nation's history. The 2008 presidential election has proved to be the most expensive in history. Americans are expected to head to the polls in record numbers. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/04/election.president/index.html?eref=time_us

The Reign of Lame Falls Mainly on McCain
merrie
by merrie  11-6-2008    11
The winner is Obama because now he can start hanging out in public with Bill Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright again. John McCain is a winner because he can resume buying more houses. And for only the second time in her adult life, Michelle Obama was proud of her country. And we're all winners because we will never again have to hear McCain say, "my friends." After Bill Clinton won the 1992 presidential election, Hillary Clinton immediately announced that, henceforth, she would be known as "Hillary Rodham Clinton." So maybe Obama can now become B. Hussein Obama, his rightful name. For now, we have a new president-elect. In the spirit of reaching across the aisle, we owe it to the Democrats to show their president the exact same kind of respect and loyalty that they have shown our recent Republican president. Starting tomorrow, if not sooner.

Obama Didn't Have The "Political Courage" To Leave Rev. Wright's Church
merrie
by merrie  11-4-2008
For almost two years, I've been trying to encourage people to go to public appearances by politicians, ask them tough questions, and upload their responses to video sharing sites. A month ago, I sent an open letter to a series of mostly Pajamas Media bloggers urging them to push such a plan, and none of them did. Instead, some pushed loony theories, some sat in a dark corner moaning (PW), and others concentrated on their Amazon sales. Now, one other person from that group - almost assuredly doing so on her own initiative and not on the prompting of the other hacks at PJM - has done something similar to my plan that might have an effect on the election. It would have been better if the person asked had been Obama and if the question had been an actual tough question, but a stumbling gaffe response might be enough to spur others to do something similar in the future.

Obama-Farrakhan Ties Are Close, Ex-Farrakhan Aide Says

White said Obama was “part of the Chicago scene” where Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. and radicals would go to each other’s events and support each other’s causes. “Even though Chicago is the third-largest city in the country, within the black community, the political and militant nationalist community is very small. So it wouldn’t be uncommon for to show up at events together, or at least be there and communicate with each other,” White told Newsmax. The Anti-Defamation League has denounced Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam as a “hate group.” Farrakhan has called Jews “bloodsuckers,” “satanic” and accused them of running the slave trade. He has labeled gays as “degenerates.” In a 2006 speech, the ADL again condemned Farrakhan when he said: “These false Jews promote the filth of Hollywood that is seeding the American people and the people of the world and bringing you down in moral strength. …

America's Last Will and Testament

It astounds me that Democrats continue to paint Republicans as plutocrats when kazillionaires like Kennedy, Boxer, Feinstein, Schumer, Kerry, Clinton and even a guy named Rockefeller, sit in the Senate, and people like George Soros, Barbra Streisand, George Clooney, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey, fill their coffers. I used to wonder why Soros, a bottom-feeder who made his fortune in the sleazy business of currency trading, would align himself with the far left wing of the Democratic party. Then, one day, it occurred to me that I used to describe John Howard Lawson, a hack screenwriter who once ran the Communist party in Hollywood, as a man who was born to run a gulag. I now believe that Soros sees himself as a major honcho in a new Soviet United States, a man in charge of the men who would run the gulags.

I suppose instead of making "profits", he can just print money and spread it around the world. Of course the IMF, the World Bank and the UN (and the US) have pour billions into poverty and 3rd world nations/territories. And soon, we'll be poverty-stricken also!  This is what happens in a country where an icon of wisdom can "credibly" be a Forrest Gump...a nation in which intelligence is ridiculed and suspected as subversive and high social achievement is to be counted among the good ol' boys. Sarah Palin doesn't even understand what can be learned in an elementary civics or US history class. Yet she is running to be Vice President of the USA. She is WAY out of her depth and yet some conservatives see her as the GOP's standard bearer for 2012. That's pathetic.

. . . in the spotlight. How sad for him to go out like this. We know he respects and admires John McCain. We know, from campaign finance records, that Powell contributed the max individual contribution allowed to McCain, not to Obama as the race progressed. But, as soon as he said it wasn't about race, he blew his game. Michelle Obama, the Closer, was earlier in the campaign in charge of setting the talking points of the day on the trail. She told audiences she has never been proud of her country until her husband was doing well in this race, that America is a mean country, and that she's just a regular working mom. API is "an international news agency headquartered in Norway with 19 corespondents in North, East, West and South Africa as well as in the United Kingdom.   You don't have to look at socialist countries to know that redistribution of income punishes success and rewards sloth. We've seen it here. Our welfare system was intended to help the poor — but because it was poorly structured, it wound up discouraging work and marriage, thus prolonging poverty rather than alleviating it for many. Here's another problem for Sen. Obama: He wants to spread the wealth around as if wealth and poverty and “middle-classness” (to use the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's terminology) were fixed categories. They aren't. Economic and social mobility in the United States is the norm, not the exception.

Yet it's disingenuous to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you're shocked to discover reports of fraud. As with Rev. When you fully understand Barack's influences and his mentors then it is very easy to understand where Barack is coming from in his outlook on life in America. Being under the tutelage of these influential people in his life certainly influences his world view. Previous reports have documented Obama’s links to Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga, onetime Weatherman bombing suspect Bill Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who proclaimed a black liberation theology for 20 years while Obama was a member of his church, demanding that God “d***” America. “How much more have to come out on Obama before the O-Bots put down the kool-aid and say ENOUGH!” added a third. “Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus,” Cohen said during a one-minute speech on the floor of the U.S. House yesterday. “Pontius Pilate was a governor.” Democrats, including party strategist Donna Brazile and Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., made nearly identical biblical comparisons of the characters in this presidential election Is Barack Obama the Messiah? http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/

Now, I'm not saying that it's wrong to ask questions about Obama's relationship, such as it was, with Bill Ayers. Or with Tony Rezko or with Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Just as it wouldn't be inappropriate to raise questions about McCain's association with G. Gordon Liddy, the convicted Watergate burglar whose colorful history includes telling listeners to his radio show in 1994 to shoot federal agents in the head. When McCain went on Liddy's radio show in November 2007, he told Liddy, "I'm proud of you, I'm proud of your family... It's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon, and congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great." The candidates' associations with these people, and their responses to questions about them, give you a view into their judgment. But at a time of great economic uncertainty -- so uncertain that the smartest people in the world are scratching their heads about what to do -- whi

The AIP founder, Joe Vogler, made the comments in 1991, in an interview that's now housed at the Oral History Program in the Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. There is a link to listen to it here: http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/09/aip_founder_professed_hatred_f.php Sarah Stalin has succeeded in one thing, and that is making McCain look like the intelligent member of their team!
