POPSShebeest Boardrider Capri Bike Pants - Women's More: I bought a second pair because I ride so much. I had tried several other brands and they tend to get very bunchy in the crotch or just incredibly unflattering. Some people don't like light padding, but I find it perfect. I typically ride 2-3 times a week at least 10+ miles each time and I never wish I had more pad. And most people don't realize that you are wearing riding bottoms which makes it easy to go from trail to public without looking out of place. I also like the length. When the sun is beating down, it protects my legs from getting burnt. I also wear knee pads and the material fits perfectly over the top.

POPSForeclosure Rescue Fraud - Mortgage and Real Estate Fraud ... Denver mortgage broker indicted (now wanted) in foreclosure rescue fraud allegations CA Attorney General announces further crackdown on foreclosure consultants Ohio AG files lawsuits against three foreclosure rescue companies FTC Stops Foreclosure Prevention Marketers According to the FTC’s complaint, the defendants sold “loss mitigation” services to homeowners at risk of foreclosure, falsely claiming they could prevent foreclosure in 97 percent of cases and misrepresenting that they would make a full refund if they failed. Before performing any loss mitigation services, the defendants required homeowners to pay the equivalent of one month’s mortgage payment. Their contracts instructed homeowners not to contact lenders or their contract and its money-back guarantee would be voided. In some cases the defendants’ consultants told homeowners to stop making their mortgage payments while the defendants were working on their cases.

POPSPork-Barrel Orgy at Home, Obama Hammers Defense Waste
Speaking to an audience of military veterans, President Barack Obama called for cutting wasteful defense spending and for reforming the way defense industry does business. “Every dollar wasted in our defense budget is a dollar we can’t spend to care for our troops or protect America or prepare for the future,” he said Monday. Obama really let if fly when he talked about the need to reform the “defense establishment,” calling wasteful defense spending an “affront” to the American people and the troops. Using a similar approach the administration has used in its arguments to pass health care reform, Obama singled out “special interests, contractors, and entrenched lobbyists” who oppose changes to the status quo. “They’re putting up a fight. But make no mistake, so are we.” He vowed to cut any weapons program that doesn’t support the troops in the field or underperforms. http://www.dodbuzz.com/2009/08/17/obama-hammers-defense-establishment/

POPSTax bill appeals take rising toll on governments This is sure to cuase another wave of downward spirals. If gov'ts have to drop budgets to equate to the present value of homes, when they had orginaly planned, hired, and spent based on previous over extended vlaues - there will be a need to remake their budgets, drop staff, drop others from the budget including jobs. This will in spiral downward. Ouch!

POPSTax Refunds What a great reason to adjust your tax withholdings. I like to adjust my holdings so that I send the government a few dollars at tax time. I don't like the idea of a interest free savings account.

POPSFooling the People Of course, it ends up being shivering in the dark as you cannot afford to turn on your lights or heat or air conditioning because it is taxed to hell and back, but it will sound so much nicer.

POPSThe Problem With The Global Warming Scam Is The Global Warming Hype
The New York Times has actually spilled the beans on the latest global warming scam. The PR firm behind the whole thing has figured out that the movement is losing steam and has suggested that the way to regain momentum is to come up with new, scary words. After the requisite amount of yammering, the Times article concludes like this: Robert J. Brulle of Drexel University, an expert on environmental communications, said ecoAmerica’s campaign was a mirror image of what industry and political conservatives were doing. “The form is the same; the message is just flipped,” he said. “You want to sell toothpaste, we’ll sell it. You want to sell global warming, we’ll sell that. It’s the use of advertising techniques to manipulate public opinion.” He said the approach was cynical and, worse, ineffective. “The right uses it, the left uses it, but it doesn’t engage people in a face-to-face manner,” he said, “and that’s the only way to achieve real, lasting social change."[

POPSFacts or Marketing. “When someone thinks of global warming, they think of a politicized, polarized argument. When you say ‘global warming,’ a certain group of Americans think that’s a code word for progressive liberals, gay marriage and other such issues.” They could not find facts, so we are going to use marketing to convince the public. Doesn't matter what you call it, it is still a hoax on the entire population of the world.
